hi iv just bought a 1950 tea grey fergie on tvo fuel theres no id plate on it so jst wandering if the chassis number is stamped anywere any help appreciated thanks
Sorry, this won't be much help but maybe a little. I bought a 202 workbull last year with no ID plate. I was lucky enough to get the shop manual from the original owner who had written in the serial number. Before I noticed that number written in I was only able to figure out that it was a 1958 or earlier just because of the sheet metal that matched the earliest sheet metal in the manual which was only produced up to 1958. Supposedly the 202 began production in 1958 but I'm not convinced that is true but for now it's all I have to go on.
So if you do enough looking around online or if you can get your hands on a shop manual you may be able to narrow down a little more info but I'm not sure you will be able to get your specific serial number anywhere. I'd love to know if you do because I'd like to find it for mine somewhere besides what the original owner wrote in the manual.
