Greetings from the Texas Hill Country!

Hi All,

My family and I recently moved to Texas from the Black Hills of SD. We were blessed to find a nice chunk (25 ac.) to call home. We started with two children,three dogs, and 12 chickens. Now we are slowly turning the property, or as my Wife likes to call it the Crazy Chicken Ranch into our dream homestead. I have been a lurker here for almost a year before finally jumping into tractor ownership. Just wanted to say Hi and tell everyone thanks for all the helpful information shared on this site. We felt very informed when we made our tractor purchase.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! Really appreciate it. Catherine you have it right, the chickens have definitely taken over the place. Bglz, I have a good friend whose family owned an Apple Orchard between Center Point and Comfort.

Welcome! (watch what you call the place, Texas has history with another "chicken ranch" in Lagrange).

Are you far from Kerrville? Be careful on that tractor until you get comfortable.
