Greetings and Kioti loader valve issue.

Greetings to everyone.

I joined the group for the collective knowledge this group represents. At 55 I'm finding that equipment that I do not consider old to have parts that are obsolete, depressing. I'm retiring a very tired 1966 Massey Ferguson 204 with a 2004 Kioti DK45 w/KL 1470 loader. The tractor is in very good condition with just a few minor issues. Using it last week the the single lever control for the loader came apart from the valve spool that raises and lowers the loader, stud broke. This valve has an issue with the bucket curl spool sticking when the bucket was fully curled and the valve is not very easy to control in delicate lifting (very jerky). So I figured I would upgrade to a better valve. I remember someone in the past talking about this very issue, lack of precise control. And they replaced the valve with a better valve. Anybody done this? Or have any recommendations? So far I can not find the original valve or parts for it, I placed an order last weekend for the Cub Cadet version and received a e-mail later that they are no longer available either. Any constructive advise will be greatly appreciated!

I have a DS3510, and damaged the factory loader valve. I was wanting to add a third function for a grapple, and ended up getting a massive 25 gpm capacity valve from Surplus Center. 3 Spool 25 GPM Joystick Loader Valve w/Grapple | Directional Control Valves | Hydraulic Valves | Hydraulics | www.surpluscenter.com

With all the adaptors and additional hoses, it cost about what a replacement valve from Kioti would have cost. The flow exceeds the pumps capacity, but that is not an issue. The handles are long enough to allow fine control of the bucket functions, and the grapple is fantastic.

I believe my KL1450 loader (DK35) uses a Prince LVR loader control valve (thought the KL1470 used the same valve, not sure)
My control valve has always worked very smooth.

Take a look at the control valves (multiple spool valves) at this site. They have good prices on name brand overstock.
I'd simply replace yours with a better one. Match the gallon/minute rating, center off, and the hose connector threads.
On some valves you have some other options like float & power beyond. You can also order a mounting plate or stalk for many of them.

Thanks for the info. The Surplus Center has some very good pricing. I had a machinist friend repair the spool to linkage connection that was broke. I used locktite on the damaged treads, so the issue will probably return at some point. I have looked over all the info and see the valve I need. I think the current valve has some bad seals in it, I noticed when I curl the empty bucket it puts a lot of strain on the pump and when the bucket is loaded it will not curl. Also when the buck gets to a full curl the joystick sticks to the left and will not re-center without help. Thanks again for the info!
