Many of us use our tractors to work in the woods and do more than occasional tree cutting. I came across a great book for anyone who wants to learn more about working in or around trees.
The Fundamentals of General Tree Work is a great book that covers every aspect of tree work and the equipment used in doing so. For anyone considering taking a limb off a tree in the yard to those who plan on cutting down trees for land clearing or firewood this book covers the basic principles.
The one thing I really apreaciated was the details of what could go wrong if you did things one way verses another. The dynamics of what is happening to the tree of limb or equipment while you are made understandable to the reader. The book helps you look at a situation and think through the best way to deal with it.
