My Kioti ck3510 chse has freezing cold a/c but now that fall it here I now realize there’s no heat. I turn it to hot or cold and it feels like outside air. Does anyone know where to start? With only 650 hours I’d doubt its a heater core but don’t really know how the system operates being that the air comes out of the roof unlike a car.

Is there a coolant shut off valve in your lines to your HVAC system? You might be blocking warm coolant from reaching your heater core.

As above.

You might start by feeling the hose to see if there is hot water supply but also check the radiator level if the hose is just warm..

Is the heater core in the ceiling or by the engine?

Heater core is in the same place as the cooling core. It is up on that ceiling unit.

Look for a valve in your lines up to the ceiling unit. Most likely it is shut off so your AC will work much better in hot months. Turn it on and warm coolant will flow to the ceiling where the mixing valve is (the hot/cold knob) on your HVAC operator controls.

Thanks. I’ll look for that. Any idea where the lines go up to the ceiling. Front or rear, right or left support post?

It’s going to be located in an accessible spot, probably under the cab. Just trace the black hoses

I traced the hoses from the radiator as well as the thermostat to the left front support where they go up to the ceiling and found no valves. However i also found that there’s no pressure in the cooling system. Hoses are all squishy and I was able to open the radiator cap while hot and no explosion or even overflow but the coolant was to the neck. The tractor is never too hot and even after operating for hours the temperature gauge never goes over half. Now I'm thinking that there’s either no thermostat, it’s stuck open or there’s a faulty radiator cap. I’m leaning in the direction of the radiator cap because the temp gauge shows heat at about the same running time as my Kubota. Any other thoughts?

Oh and I’ve never seen a coolant leak under the tractor or in the oil.

It’s now giving heat. I’m thinking it was something with that radiator cap. I kind of messed with the seals and spring and now its pressurized. Sounds like a new cap in my future.

Ya, id swap it right away. To prevent engine damage

A good possibility the the cap was not securely fastened to the second stop, which would not pressurize the system.

The blend air door is controlled by a cable. I had the cable slip when my cab top got infested by mice. While there shove steel wool down the A, B, and C pillars for mouse prevention.

That’s initially what I was thinking but before removing it I tried pushing it down while tightening and it was on correctly. I guess everything eventually fails.

I’m surprised you didn't see/smell coolant after running it a while.

Never smelled coolant. I was out at this property yesterday enjoying the snow. I just got an alert that my radiator cap has finally arrived but its back home. Anyway I ran this tractor for about 45 minutes and it barely got off cold on the gauge. I'm now thinking the previous owner removed the thermostat or it's stuck open.

There is a cable connected to the temp control. On my NX it fell off once. I popped the top off hooked the cable end back up and safety wired it in place. No problems since that time.
