I had to cut the length on the PTO shaft before the 48" kubota tiller would fit to my 1500D Yanmar tractor. It was quite simple. I made the measurement with the tiller attached to the tractor, then took the PTO shaft down to a local shop where they cut the shaft with a chop saw. Works great now.

For the benefit of anyone else faced with the problem of replacing seals and bearings in this tiller, here are part numbers:

#4 - Lower Drive End Ball Bearing (Behind the Large Sprocket) : Kubota 08101-06209 or NSK 6208
Upper Tapered Roller Bearing (Behind the Small Sprocket) : Kubota 08711-30207 or KOYO 30207JR
#6 - Lower Drive End Oil Seal : Kubota 32218-55350 : NOK A02693E
#9 - Dust Cover (big washer behind oil seal) : Kubota 70431-55310
