Gravely Walk Behind Tires

I need a new set of wheels and tires on my 5260. I've seen harbor freight has a set of 8 inch trailer tires on one piece wheels and the bolt hole patterns will match up on my gravely hubs. Has any one ever used tires like that on there gravely or are they too hard to get traction with.

I just had turf tires on mine, but duals! I have a steep hill that I used to mow with it. Never realized how well those duals worked until I tried with them off and the matter became quit dangerous!

I used chains on single wheels for the winter. Amazing traction.

Guess it all depends on where you are going to be using the machine.

I went with duals on my 12 hp Gravely. Still weren't good enough for going down and back up our back hill without slipping. Went with a 4wd JD and solved that problem.

I had turfs initially and finally got the duals in ag. Also had chains, which were needed for the snow blower. Could only use the chains with the single wheels.

I'm surprised. I have one steep hill and I never had a lick of trouble with the turf duals on my Pro 12. Even the old ones that were quite worn, before they got rotten and got replaced.
