Has anyone else had problems with repairs and parts for Gravely tractors? Lost use of the tractor for 2 months at the start of the season and for 2 months at the end of the season. So I was able to use it for two months and spent 4 months on the phone with the shops, listening to excuses. For the amount of delays in getting parts and service, one wonders if this tractor is worth it. Maybe I am just depending on the wrong service companies in my area. Any suggestions?

I think it's an old universal problem. I worked for a small engine shop in the 1980's, and the normal excuse when ordering parts would be either "We can't get the parts to you because it's the busy season," or "We can't get the parts to you because it's the off season. I even figured out the day when they changed from the busy season to the off season. Lawn boy was the worst one for that, but it seemed like everyone did it. The place I worked for even sent me to the Ariens factory service department for a week long seminar, and I wasn't able to come to a conclusion on when seasons changed, and whether there was a season when parts were available.

Some of the suppliers have been closed this week too. That doesn't help a shop at all.

Second the recommendation on Richards. He's in Spencer, WVa. Used him when I had a Gravely.
