Mark, I agree that for those $$$$ it better be better than sex (or something). I want to see what it will do on my 15 yr old road that has had nothing done to it; basically very little use for the 1st 10 yrs, then 4 houses built in the last 4 yrs and another going up. You can pretty much imagine what it's like. Oops, I forgot that I did have it dragged after our house was done 3+ yrs ago. Not that it helped much. If this thing works as sweet as a whistle I figure I might be able to convince my neighbors to buy it for me ("I'll by the tractor if you buy the implement"). It might pay for itself in tires and alignments! And a neighbor did lose control on washboards coming down the hill and around the corner, laying her SUV on it's side and against (a now dead) tree. Of course if I make the road all flat, even and nice it will just give them all an excuse to drive faster. Though I could put in speed bumps. But I think they still like me now. Hmmm, a dilema.

Gordon, you ought to draw up the plans and sell them in the classifieds! What I have now is very hard compacted crush and run and red clay. Virtually no loose gravel left. How well did your contraption dig in? Or would it just rearrange the loose gravel?

Mark, there was a thread on the CTB that dealt with the Brush Brute. Type in "clearing trees" in the search and it should come up. Good luck.

If they set up something in NC or southern Va let me know too. I'd love to see it....heck they can use my 4000' + drive to demo it on :)

Jeff, where are you at? I'm in Hillsborough. Haven't heard back from them yet, but I'll let you know when I do.

I'm just north of Rocky Mount (about and hour east of Raleigh). I go thru\by Hillsborough frequently. I go to the to Graham\Burlington\Greensboro area almost every week.
I'm game for a demo just about anywhere in the NC,SC,VA area but the more eastward the better. Heck if it works as advertised, they can put it in the back of my truck and I'll take it home. My Kubota needs a new "toy".

I own a 6' RoadMaster blade (the double angle blades). I more commonly refer to it as, the miracle blade. I had a hands on experience with the road master at a dealers lot. After operating the blade for 30 minutes or so, I was very impressed. However I opted to purchase a new Gannon 6', 6-way, with Hyd. rippers. the price of the roadmaster was to much (I thought) 350.00 a foot. 10 months later I purchased the 6' Road Master. This blade out performs the Gannon hands down, in grading and leveling. If you intend to do a lot of contour work then the Gannon is the best application. As far as Horse Power Rating goes. I pull mine with one of two tractors, a 75 H.P. (with no problems) or a 60 H.P. (with wheel weights) with only minor wheel spin under full blade load and, it does put a load on the 60 Horse. The Roadmaster lacks in, the ability to move material (mound) as quickly as the Gannon does. My suggestion to you would be, If you have a lot of grading to do the double angel blade style box is the best answer. The front blade cutts the surface, the second blade shakes out the fines and the rocks travel over the top of the second blade. giving the finished surface, a new road look. Their performance is amazing /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif
