Grass Bagger for Kubota BX-24 / RCK54P23BX Deck

It turned out that the 54" mower deck I got with my BX24 was the "P" version which is the mulching design and evidently very few of those were made/sold. Didn't even know that.

So the standard, non-mulching, V50200 54" boot kit wouldn't fit as my deck was a lot deeper. So that was my issue with getting the GCK bagger up an running. I now have the regular 54" boot kit surplus and added into the equip for sale here at a nice discount to move it out of the garage.

If you are considering getting a BX bagger for your subcompact, now is the time to hit the used market to find one as the supply chain for new ones sure were broken when I tried to order.

Time to hit the field.

FWIW, I've had the bagger for my 60 " deck for probably 6 years now. I was hesitant to purchase it but we were using a Billygoat Lawn vac to pick up the windrows and it not only required 2 people but was a back breaker as well. Sold the Billygoat and have been very pleased with the bagger. The 8" hose finally needed replacing and when I went to purchase it, I was taken aback at how much Kubota wanted for it. Started searching for alternatives and ended up buying hose from Cyclone Rake. Not ony was it significantly cheaper it virtually eliminated clogging. The Cyclone Rake hose is smooth inside and that feature literally transforms the performance. Do yoourself a favor and get rid of the Kubota hose,the difference it made for me was huge.

I’ve had zero problems with the bagger unit. It’s tops.

Clogged chute has been the only issue, but it hasn’t been a super big pbm, but when it does occur, it does slow the process down.

I’d pay some more to get that performance increase you speak about. The Kubota spiral chute does appear like some jr designer got tasked to spend 5 min searching to spec the first tube mfgr he could send to procurement.

What was the ballpark price for the Cyclone ?

Cyclone doesn’t cut custom lengths, but a 3.5’ length of 8” was inexpensive at $92 w tax shipped free Fedex Ground. I like it!

They are on top of their cust svc game. I emailed them late last night with the question and they responded before 9am.
