What about a QA Grapple for a DK40SE? The ANBO 70廼T-X split top grapple is awesome, but it's a little out my price range for the time being. Another recommendations?

Remember ther are 2 styles of grapples. Flat bottom - this will allow you to hold more debris and weighs more (generally used on skid steers). Or a Grapple Rake (better fit for tractors), more verticle handles brush really well and typically easier to use. We stock both - Manufacturers: CID and W R Long.

Don't forget, you will need an auxillary hydraulics at front of tractor. W R Long makes the nicest kit - And YES if you are mechanically inclined can install yourself. You just need basic hand tools.

Why is a grapple rake a better fit for tractor? Initially I was thinking of a flat bottom style like the ANBO UT-X. I figure it would get under a pile of brush better and would help in plying stumps out. I'm just trying to understand since I have never used either style.

Grapple informational upload in process, which means I have a few TBN threads to read! Unfortunately this process is making me want one more. I wonder if I can raid the Christmas account without the Wife noticing....

Or just search for threads including "IslandTractor". He's a Grapplenterologist.

Grapple Rake or Flat Bottom Grapple is more of a user choice. You loose lift capacity when you have a Flat Botton, due to the length from the quick attach (more physical weight). Whereas the Rake is closer to the coupler allowing more lift capacity of material - also allows for clamping of smaller items. Jaw/Clamp is tighter than A Flay Bottom. Check out the links bellow.
