Anyone have any experience with the " bolt-on " type of grapple attachment that attaches to the existing tractor FEL? I could use a grapple rake ( bucket ) occasionally but can't justify the $ to outright own one and was wondering if the bolt on would be a good alternative.
Lots of people on here seem to have the add on bucket grapple. You may want to search. I started out wanting one but ended up going with a Light Duty Millonzi grapple. It was about $750 but like everything else the price has risen. The type you are looking for will work, but for brush, the bucket sides limits how much you can pick up. JC
Hey Chris,
Thanks for posting that link to your grapple install. I really like how nice that came out for you. Andy's bucket grapples are excellent. Mine give me service almost everyday, because I've never taken them off.
xkrfan,
Since I did the installation of Andy's grapples on my Kama several years ago, I ended up designing my own bucket grapple. A couple guys have used the design to make their own now, and I am currently installing one on my wife's 284 Jinma. She is doing most of the work herself and I am helping her.
Here's the link to that if you haven't checked it out yet. My Very Own Grapples
Thanks for the compliment. I really enjoy reading your threads. Wish I had the same talents for metal working that you do. I'm not a welder, I own one.
