With your luck at Auctions. Have you considered finding a used bucket there. I got Lucky. Dealer had a bucket that fit my loader that had worn thin from dragging on ground. I welded a patch to repair. I have my tooth bar and mounted to it.

Actually, I kiind of go to auctions for a living, but they're vehicle auctions. When I do get to an equipment auction I'm usually a bit out of my depth. At farm auctions the one thing I can be counted on to buy is chains and binders.

I don't need them... I seldom use them (I prefer ratchet straps for tie downs)... Yet I always bid on and buy them just because they always seem like such a bargain. Right now I know I have enough chain to wrap completely around my barn at least once (just in case I ever NEED to do that). /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I have the ATI grapple on my LA723 HD bucket (Kubota L3130). I looked at it a few minutes ago since it was getting in the way some during dirt work. I can take off the movable grab by pulling 4 pins, 1 more would release the cylinder and hoses for separate handling. Probably take 5 minutes. I am going to do that before I resume the dirt work I am doing.

You may still find a bucket at a dealer that is used. Then you can add a grapple to it. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Following all the threads on Grapples lately. Most of them are heavy. Mine weighs 145 lbs. That is all I would want one to weigh on a CUT. I don't know if you saw the one JUNKMAN has shown. It looks good.

In my travels with my job I stopped at many dealers. There alway is a clearance shelf. Seems like I would find something I needed on most of them. I have been sorting through boxes of stuff that I collected over the years. There is 2 or 3 of everything that I may never use 1 of. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Let us know when you have a auction to get rid of the binders and chains. I'm sure someone will bid on them. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

It's gotten so bad that even the guy who helps me out there teases me about them...especially when I add to what he refers to as my 'collection.' As to any auction out there, I'm pretty sure I won't be around to see it. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

I was able to get a grapple fork for under $1000.00 with shipping.

Different design but should function well.

Modifications will need to be made to the mounting bracket from a universal skid steer mount to a John Deere Utility Quick Attach.

Please let us know how it works.
I have looked at that same grapple greg but was unsure if the design of the tines & grapple would work together.
I thought it looked good but am unsure as to whether I should bite the bullet & get it or wair for another.
