What's best way to apply something like this basic 10-10-10 granules?

Several small planting areas tilled already but will till 1 more time before seeding. Will spread this with a walk-behind spreader (like you'd use for your lawn - that's all I have). Question is, do I till that in after spreading it, or just leave it lay on top?

Sweet corn & summer squash going in, will get followed by pumpkins in July once those are done. Seedlings/small plants get 2 waterings with a low concentration generic miracle grow, so they get a good dose of N before blooming, but otherwise clay soil, very little organic material added, tested low for N-P-K end of last season, so need to add something....

No expert here, but never worried about tilling granular fertilizer in. A little water, and it's dissolved. I would worry more about the composition, the amount you put on, and how evenly it is distributed. For clay soil, I suggest you add some Gypsum. It is relatively neutral, and dissolves slowly, so you can put it on without worrying about burning. I add cotton seed hulls to my tomatoes for mulch; and till it in (hopefully in the Fall, but sometimes in the Spring).

Till it in.

Because of our soil, I will often mix one scoop of that to three of lime, for the garden I also add in blood meal and bone meal.

are you planting in rows? side dress the rows and lightly rake it in. no sense in fertilizing where the weeds will grow.

I mix 1cup of blood meal and 1 cup of bone meal into the soil beneath my tomatoes when I plant them.

Rows yes. Thinking 2 real close rows of corn, then space in between for a row of squash, then 2 more real close rows of corn.... Maximize the space, but be able to walk through & pick everything easily.
