Price Check Grand L3130 price check. Is this $$ about right?

Good luck with the 3130. I faced a similar choice about a year ago and went with the B7800. Nice tractor but I am still second guessing myself. I also use it with a mmm and was a little worried about the weight on the lawn. (Have to be careful even with the B7800 and r4's) For all other things I wish a little bigger at times.

This is my first post - just joined tonight.

I'm also looking at the 3130 DT. I got my first quote of 17,795 with filled R4s, and 734 Quick Attach.

I'm trying to decide between the 5' and 6' bush hog...specs say need 30PTO hp for the 6', but dealer says the 3130 will run it fine, and need 6' to cover the width of the tracks of the R4 tires. Any help on this topic?

With the DT, a 6' would be a piece of cake. The loader is a LA 723.

I've read many of your posts, and know you recommend the HST, but I drove both and had a hard time with the pedal.

Any advice on filling the tires? Is methanol okay?

Welcome to the forum, and for me personally, I would not want a brush hog that didn't more than cover my rear tracks, so the 6' one is what I'd go with. If you get to mowing anything that's too tough for cutting full width, you can always overlap; only mow half width, etc., but if you have a mower that's too narrow, not much you can do about it.

The DT tranmission is great. I use one regularly, a Kubota L4850. The treadle pedal arrangment on Kubotas HST is for some folks awkward at first. One fella said he bought his even though he hated it. I wish I could remember the thread. He now says he doesn't know why and actually prefers it over the other styles. The arrangment really grows on you fast. I use both side by side on a Deere and my Kubotas treadle and just don't care either way, both work very well. Your decision however to go DT is fine. It is a great, very easy to use transmission. The L3130 is a great "little" tractor with tons of potential.

I have a L3130 DT that I use with a 5' brush hog. It is fine as long as the grass is not to tall and the ground to steep. All this factors into the ground speed you can maintain. I figure the 6' would work but probably slow you down. I really like my tractor. It is s good little utility machine.

Theowegian, I believe that sounds about right with the HST. Not sure that shouldn't include the LA-723 though? Got my rig last June for $17,400.00. L-3430 DT, LA-723, Bush Hog-SBX-720. Oh yeah, I got an orange and tan Kubota hat also. Those are some mighty expensive hats I'm sure. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Good Luck and whatever you get make sure it's what you want. It's only money and if you gotta, resale is very good on the Kubota name for sure.

Well, I pulled the trigger and I bought a Kubota tractor.

LA513 front end loader
Quick attach, HD 66" round back bucket,

R4 industrial tires,
Bush Hog brand 72" box blade.
Two Kubota hats
price: $19,285

The dealer was excellent.
