When I purchased my 4740, I had the dealer install two rear remotes, which I have not used up to this point.

Recently, I bought the Kubota top-and-tilt kit (planning to set it up myself), and noticed that the Kubota T&T manual specifies that the T&T hydraulic lines be connected directly to the valves, rather than using quick disconnects to connect to the standard (already existing) rear remote blocks. I definitely do not want to do this, as I plan to install/remove the top-and-tilt cylinders depending on the implement that I am using.

However, I'm not sure what type of male disconnects to buy to match the Kubota rear remote disconnect blocks. Anyone know which ones to use?

Thanks,

Jeff

Oops... meant to post this in Kubota Owning/Operating; is there any way I can move it there?

When my Kubota dealer installed my remote valves they gave me a pair of male couplers for each valve set, I assume they came with the kit, as they should with yours. I also bought an extra set at TSC, Pioneer brand, sorry I do not have the part number at this time. Side link, not sure why one would have to rake it off, sure you have a good reason. Top link, I would definetly use the quick connects, I need to remove my top link to use post hole auger. Philip.

The T&T kit did not come with the male couplers. Maybe Kubota is trying to save a buck by suggesting that the two cylinders be plumbed directly to the valves.

Others on TractorByNet have mentioned issues with the side link gradually moving over time and having to adjust it when, for instance, brush hogging.

Thanks,

Jeff

Jeff, you need 1/2"AG fittings. As far as the side link settling down over time, a lot of that has to do with how good your valve is, but yes it does happen. On my own tractors I notice about 1/4" per hour. When the tractor was new they were rock solid and did not move at all. So yes if you were going to bush hog all day, that might be a time to install your OEM side link. I just re-adjust the link every once in awhile, takes all of a couple of seconds. ;)

Would you please post some pictures of your set once you get them installed. I would like others to see what an OEM set looks like. You will be very happy with your new "TnT" set.

Thanks
