GR 2120 vs. Simplicity Prestige for blowing snow

Not happy with my 30 hsp. Prestige for blowing snow. I have a 40 ft. wide drive and in that section, I have to blow the snow forward about 60 ft. and not to the sides. So, I want a machine that can really blow snow.

Will the GR2120 do a better job at throwing it further?

Never had a Simplicity Prestige, but the GR i had, sure did through pretty far. I would say 60 feet sounds about right, depending on chute angle etc....If you end up with a GR, make sure you have some extra sheer bolts in your tool box. I went through 2 of them the first half of the winter last year. ($2.50 each)

I cannot compare, no experience with the Simplicity. Question, is the Simplicity a single stage or two stage snowblower? I have the GR2120 with 2 stage snowblower. We live in an addition that does not have a regular or always quick snow plow going down the street. My GR2120 will clear a 3 lane wide road and throw snow all the way across the curb. I have not seen the need to add tire chains or ballast to the rear. Philip.
