This showed up on my fb page. They are paying attention to what we read.

I'll pass on that one. The cap lock on the nozzle makes it harder to fuel some things. I was almost out of gas in our Matrix the other day and didn't have time to stop before work. I tried to add what gas I had left in cans using the 'new' nozzles. Eventually, I had to remove the nozzle and use a funnel. PITA when you are not in a hurry...enough to risk heart problems if you are.

Also pass on using FB. Less tracking of my business. Frankly, while I am not a fan of government regulations in general, I think they should be required to allow people to opt in or out of being tracked and be audited periodically to ensure they actually are not tracking. I'd rather let the market decide, but their actions are covert and insidious so many consumers have no clue how their personal data is used (and sold).

Never before has here been such anguish and discussion about a small screen in a fuel can. There are lots of things to worry about. This isn’t one of those things. Seems a little silly.
If you think people's concerns are about a small screen in a fuel can you really don't understand their position. Not in the least.

Ok, evidently I do have one of them flame arrester screens in there. Funny, this whole time I thought it was only there to keep debris out! So yeh I don't mind if it pulls double-duty as some safety device (which I frankly don't need, but whatever), because it doesn't seem to hinder pouring fuel from the can.

Maybe this; God gave us a brain which allows for reason and common sense to use and calculate risks. Darwin gave us a theory.

I don't disagree, but people who think 8yr old kids deserve 3rd degree burns and lifelong scars because stupid should hurt have no reason or common sense. If that's not you then you didn't see your reflection in my post.

I understand very well. Another thing some people want to complain about the goberment for. At least focus on substantive issues.

Having government continually apply more and more rules & laws and dictate behaviors towards and end goal that reduces independence and freedom of choice is pretty substantive in my book. You're welcome to think otherwise, but this is America and that direction isn't compatible.

That plastic thingy is in the bottom of my diesel can. When pumping fuel in the can, the plastic thingy created spray back so I punched it down into the can.

We are all entitled to our opinions, and that’s also a liberty we have in America. And I do think otherwise regarding substantive issues. I do believe that consumer protection on products is something worthwhile. Go to a country that has very little consumer protection. Many products are unsafe for consumption or use. Best to you.
