I'm not much for on-line activity, too busy most of the time to take time on the computer, but I do resort to it when I need info, or tech solutions for equipment - Machines - Etc.

Looks like this site is a great resource.

By way of introduction - We have a small family farm (86.5 Acres) - but a big family - there are 14 of us (yes all one family). We live in Goulais River in Northern Ontario.

Lots of bush work ... 40+ cords of firewood each year to feed the outdoor furnace for the buildings, so that keeps us busy in itself.

Each family member seems to have their own livestock/animal preferance - Lowline Angus Cattle, Sheep, Pigs, Goats, 1 Holstien Dairy Cow - (for the families dairy needs - milk, cheese, butter, etc.), Turkeys, Chickens, Ducks, and Rabbits.

Lots of pedators too ... Coyotes, Black bear, Bobcat, Wolves, the odd Lynx, and yes the occasional (rare) sighting of a Cougar (Puma, or Mountain Lion) - Good thing two of the kids are trappers. (A good Electric Fencer Helps too)

What brand chainsaw do you use for the 40 cords of wood?
