Sold the 5240 and delivered for the gentleman out in Katy. My local dealer did a great job and beat all other prices I had found so we had a deal. I did not get to use the new machine for a couple of days. When I did around to using it I had to move an 18"x 6' concrete culvert, I got off to remove the chain from the culvert and noticed the FEL curl was bleeding down pretty rapidly.

I called my dealer told him about the problem. He called me back telling me him and the Kubota Rep. would be there in 1/2 an hour. When they showed up I lifted the culvert and we all watched it bleed down. The Rep was very friendly and said there was an obvious problem, most likely a bad seal in the cylinder and I should bring it in for repair. I mentioned an odd colored circle on the hood. He took a look at it and much to my surprise told the Rep to order me a new hood. I figured maybe have the dealer repaint it but a new factory hood is even better..:D

Prior to taking to the shop I did get to use it to dig out for driveway widening project. Was really impressed the way it pushed up the sod and ~4 of top soil effortlessly. The wide and heavier bucket did a really nice job back dragging the driveway material.

Well I can稚 say enough good things about the dealer and the Rep, yes kind of a bummer new machine in shop already but hopefully it will be fixed quickly with out any snags..

Thats annoying. I think you'll be really happy with the machine though - I certainly have been. And I'd be really happy with that service. Problems happen, its how they are dealt with that matters.

Sounds like you are getting great service. Be sure to check out he problem closely when you get it back. My L39 will not hold the backhoe over time near as well as my B21 will, its much older, and I think it is a valve block issue. Still a great machine and I am sure the M59 is just that much better.

I got the call today, its ready it had a scored cylinder bore that cut the seal. They ordered and installed a complete new cylinder and installed the new Long electric hyd. switch.

The dealer even offered to let me keep the old hood if kubota does not call it back. The neat thing about that is I can store the new hood and if I ever decided to sell I could then install the brand new hood.. Heck of a dearl if it works out.

I realized I could not pick it the tractor up, my trailer has about 13,000# of 1/4" plate on in it and I have no way to unload it  never crossed my mind as we where loading with a fork lift.. So the dealer is going to deliver it for no charge..

All seems like its going to work out well they only had if for 3 days.. Hats off to my dealer and Kubota..

Nobody likes trouble.......but man it's great to know there are some really great dealers (and service reps) out there that care about the customer....and their companys reputation......doesn't happen enough with tractors or most other items these days........almost all of the time if you hear a comment about service it's in a negative way........

good for you and kudos to the dealer...

Got it delivered today, they did a nice job on Hyd./Elec. switch and even dropped off the new hood to put in storage.

The power of this machine truely amazes me lifted a 500 gallon concrete septic tank effortlessly..

Hope to not have any more issues and doubt if I do but its good to know I have a dealer concerned about his products and Rep. that did not hesitate to fix the problem promptly.

Yes Charles thanks for heads up.. Time to change sig. and add some pics :)

I too have been impressed with Kubota's quality and excellent service.

Heck, they drove 200 miles to the ranch to replace a recall hose (15 minutes) and the dealer went ahead and serviced the UDT and fuel filter for me in the process.

The tractors aren't cheap but if you can swing it the M59 is the only way to go. When you amortize the difference of a smaller one over 20 years, the M59 is an easy choice.

Hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.
