I have a Ferris zero-turn 61" wide. I have wanted a canopy for years and finally bit the bullet. I decided on a Thunderbird fiberglass canopy, it is red and 50"x41". I had to pick it up at a freight terminal, in two boxes(pictured). I installed the hardware provided on my rollbars.
(I had sent a picture of the rollbars to the company, as there were a few choices to be made and I wanted them to make the choice for me as to the correct hardware required).
I installed the hardware myself. I found the instructions for installation less than helpful so I emailed the company and they quickly got back to me. Hardware in place, though one u bolt would not accept the included lock washers. In the picture you can see one side has only one u bolt, the company said they would send a replacement and that the one bolt on one side should not be a concern.
The canopy itself is not heavy, just awkward. I put it into place with no help and had to drill four holes in the canopy to secure it to the support. There was no easy way to mark where the holes should be as the underside of the canopy is a dark gray. So I crossed my fingers and drilled up through the existing hole in the support, held the canopy in place(I hoped) and the first hole in the canopy was drilled. When that was secured, the other holes were easier to drill. I tightened the nuts and the canopy felt secure.
I just finished my first mowing with the canopy installed. The sun was out, I felt noticeably cooler under the canopy. So far I like the canopy. I may come back in a month or so and update my review. I do see that for a while I will have to pay attention to branches.
Price- total price for canopy, hardware, and shipping was $559. I had it one week after the order was put in.
