Firehawkmph- So what model mower did you get and is it made in China? I too am looking for a five footer but not having many choices locally, I will need to have one shipped looks like..

I bought this from Everything Attachments, in North Carolina. It is made right there. Check out their website, they have a lot of good videos that explain each attachment they make.

Yes I am. It's very beefy, well made. Pretty quiet when operating except when you're running over a tree.

Here's some pics from the other day. Got to try out my brush cutter. Works very well. I was mostly just backing into the edge of the woods, couple places I was able to drive through. Didn't have much time that day. I have a lot of clearing to do.

Looks great. I really like the look of that unit. I am not sure of your experience level, but there are a couple of situations that tend to be the times you damage your cutter.
1-Be careful going through ditches or severe inclines. You can run out of travel on your flex hitch and put your cutter under a lot of stress.
2-Be careful backing into things. You can get a lot of lateral torque on things if you run into something solid.
3. Be careful mowing around concrete curbs and storm drains. It has cost me at least a couple tail wheels.

I use a chain as a top link to prevent damage when going through a ditch as the tractor/mower jack-knives.

Thanks for the tips guys. The land I'm on is relatively flat with out any ditches. I'm trying to clean up my woods, which is going to require some brush hogging to clear some areas where I can then get in and get rid of any down timber before brush hogging the rest.
