.....'cause here's what I landed, a practically new 4ft disk for $250. Disked a couple of fields with it already and my YM2K pulled it just fine. Soil looks great!!

About double that new. Make sure to keep those blocks greased.

I got lucky myself, last year I purchased identical disk for $250, in a junk yard, a tractor friend of mine told me about them. I welded a bracket to hang 2 suit case wieghts for deeper cutting, works great.

Me too! I found a similar 4 ft disc for $200, described as new. When I got there it turned out to be new pans on a well-used frame. I still bought it.

Adding extra weight on the disk for a deeper cut is a great idea! Thanks for your tips guys!
