That was with a gun, t/c encore .50 cal muzzleloading barrel only 50 yards away, michigan just started allowing guns in trees for deer only about 4 years ago. the bow opener is always oct. 1, youth weekend was just introduced last year i think on last w/e in sept.

the butcher weighed him at 195lb dressed, the biggest he's seen so far this year.
