2019 Case IH 55A
Purchased a new 24 PJ deckover for my Case IH 55A and F250 today. I got the flip over ramps instead of the equipment ramps since I can fold flat and they are wider.

When driving up on the trailer for the first time with the tractor, once the wheels got off the ramps and onto the dovetail it picked the rear truck tires off the ground. The way the ramps are designed they don稚 support the weight of the dovetail or stop it from dropping.

I used jackstands to support the rear of the trailer for the unload, but that just seems clunky to do all the time for loading and unloading.

Any options other than welding some drop down support stands on the back of the trailer?

Used to have same problem with car trailer with ramps. Once it pushed truck forward which was freaky. After that jackstands and 4wd until I got my pj tilt bed deck over.

I’ve seen where people but what is normally on the front of the trailer, a crank down jack stand, and mount two at the rear.

If youre cheap like me, (2) 3- ton jack stands, or (2) 12 inch long chunks of 8x8 RR tie under back of trailer and a dunnage block place in front of truck axle front tire.
If you want to spend, get a set of jacks.

Go drop downs. It’s the cheapest & quickest choice.

Correcting the ramps would be my first choice, so they are in place 100% of the time when needed and also lifted out of place when you're done. Drop downs would be my second choice but I'd paint the exposed leg a bright red or orange so when it's extended you're more likely to remember to retract them before driving away.
