Google Sketch

Hi - Is anyone out there skilled at using Google sketch? I have pictures of horse barns and know what mine will look like, but I need it represented more accurately in a drawing that would include dimensions - I don't think it'd take long if someone knew what they were doing - Basicly I need a leanto added to this building - And a representation from different sides - I'd consider payment for your help.

I can probably help, but I need accurate pics and dimensions of the existing building and the add-on you want to do to it. I just recently did this to my garage. What might benefit you more if you are going to do any building at all in the future is to learn to use a CAD program. I havn't played with google sketchup, but I just downloaded it to play with as it looks interesting. You might take a look at freecad.com, they have a listing there of several cad programs for different computer platforms also. I pesonally use Autocad, but it is expensive.

When I am just trying to get an idea of how something will look, I also quite frequently use the basic paint program that comes in windows. I assign a measurement value to a pixel, such as 1/8" or 1/4" or 12" per pixel, and draw to scale based on that. Here is a 1/8" per pixel scale side view drawing of my generator done in paint.
