Where is a good online supplier of quality work gloves? I do not want the leather ones that after a 1/2 day of handling wood or building fence that the thumbs split out.I want something I can buy an excpect to last through the winter. I had a good pair(insulated) and I lost them I thought I bought them through Baileys ,but I cannot seem to find them in the new catalog.
I use to have some that had long cuffs on them that you would use in the boiler house's handling coal/hot items for not a very long period of time.

Good luck!

My wife found a great pair of gloves by "West County". She loves them. They hold up well, and and are really comfortable.

I had a pair, but they didn't last long for me, much like other gloves. I have a somewhat large hand, and find that XL sizes are not big enough. I need a XXL or something, which I can not find. Even with quality gloves, I do not have enough room in the fingers or thumb. After less than a week of work, the fingers are ripping, and my fingertips poke out.

I have looked ALL over for larger gloves. I have had feed and western supply places check stacks of catalogs. What do other people do???

Wells Lamont White Mules are the longest lasting gloves I've had.
Robert- Gempler's has a good selection of gloves, some of which are available in XXL

I had a great pair of Wells Lamont gloves and I let someone use once while they were helping us and I never got them back. Since then I have been thru about 5 pairs of gloves trying to find another good set. One pair didn't even last a day handling concrete rubble. Most gloves now seem to be made for people who pull weeds in their yards and don't do anything too rough /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

How timely. All 3 pairs of leather gloves I have "in stock" have holes. I was at neighborhood stihl dealer getting chain sharpened. Picked up a pair of stihl gloves for $9 (what he had). Used them for ONE day. Hole in finger, & thumb /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif

I was just about to ask the same question.

I'm taking the gloves back when I pick up the chain.

I can't tell you the best gloves to buy, but you don't want a pair of gloves like the ones I bought. See attachment. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
