Price Check Good Price for Branson 3510???

   / Good Price for Branson 3510??? #11
Bob, I forgot to say that my brother who has the 3510, has 40 acres. However , it is all woods , and the truth of the matter is that he spends 90% of the time in the 2 acres around his house. He bought the place a couple yrs ago, and did similar things you are talking about...like yanking out old bushes, maintaining gravel drive, pushing brush piles around, and just as a helper for all the maintenance chores around the place. I believe the price to value ratio on this tractor is very good. I too had restless nights, but the funny thing for me was that I made the decision easily, however couldn't sleep just waiting for the tractor to get delivered. What ever you decide, you will enjoy it and wonder how you ever got by without it. Enjoy the moment.

Happy plowing.

Hi Bob, I just bought a 3510 about two weeks ago. I have used a Massey 135 for the last 15 years but wanted to get a four wheel drive tractor with a fel. I paid $14140.00 for the tractor with the loader, I think I got a great deal on a great tractor . I don't know how I got along with out a front end loader in the past, this is realy going to save my back! I am sure where one lives will somewhat determine the price we pay, I bought from a dealer who sells tractors from the pole barn behind his house, a very nice person with very little overhead. I always try to "get a better price" and feel that the worst a salesman can say is no to a lower offer.

Good luck, Mike

From what I can tell, the Branson 3510 looks like a really good tractor. The Branson distribution dealer is located a few miles south of here is LaFayette, Ga. I have looked over most of their models and they all look very good. In fact, I thought a lot about buying a 2810 before I bought my NH TC18.

There are two caveats I'd mention. First, it sounds to me like the 3510 would be overkill for your property. Second, if it turns out to be overkill and you want to trade, used Bransons are difficult to sell. Now that I've made all the Branson tractor dealers and owners upset, /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif there is a Branson 2810 local for sale with 107 hours, FEL for $10,500. It's been for sale for a long time, and it still has some of the manufacturer's warranty left. The problem is that banks are reluctant to loan money on a used tractor that is of an "unknown" brand.

I like Bransons. If it's not too much tractor for you, you'd probably like the 3510. Just make sure it's what you want before you buy it because it may be difficult to sell. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Songhunter,

I recently sold a used 3510 with loader for $13,500. I wish that 2810 was closer, I'd buy it in a heartbeat and make good money on it. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif Financing isn't a problem if you use a lender that regularly works with agricultural products.

Dave,
That 2810 is a good deal. I may regret not buying it instead of the TC18, but I felt like it was more tractor than I needed.

The tractor is at a Branson dealer. He listed it on Ebay for $10,500, but no one bidded on it. He also listed a new 2810 with a 90 inch finish mower and wide turf tires for $10,900. No one bid on it either.

I didn't mean to knock Branson. I really like them and they are a lot of tractor for the money. I even grew up in the town where the distributor is located. I heard they account for 52% of the new tractors sold in this area during the last year. I just gave the poster my honest appraisal of his situation.

Hope all goes well!

$14950 for a 3510 / tass 180 or 190 loader is a good price...
You got me beat cause I have sold all my old stock, and the newer tractors are almost $1,000.00 higher. In other words, I could have beaten that last year. Now just because that machine has been setting on his lot for 60 days does not mean that there is something wrong. I bought 10 of the 2810 just before the price went up trying to help me and my coustomers. They were all gone before christmas. Maby I should have bought 20 of them, for the price has gone up.
If you are a real buyer, then you had better jump on this one!

by the way, I encourage my buyers to take the machine behind the store . I have several acers back there to go "play" in. An 18 wheeler load of base, 2 big piles of top soil, a few berms to knock down, and a trailer park with roads that need fixin all the time. I say -" Go back there and blow some smoke and move some dirt, If that machine isn't what you need or want, then we'll get something else of the lot"

Virgil,
Thanks for the information. Local dealer told me about the price increase, but I think we talked before the change. He is going to honor our original deal. I talked to him this morning and told him I wanted the 3510 & FEL. I told him that I would be in Monday to start the paper work. I have to work this week end or I would be on his door step 1st thing tomorrow.
I wish that he had your lot and the dirt piles to play in. I did drive one around his lot and was very much impressed. An old friend had a couple of Kubotas with FEL's and I had some seat time on those. I also have used Ag. tractors before. I may be a city boy but still have done quite a bit on tractors,
mowing, raking, baling, cutting wood with a buzz saw, cleaning out stalls and barns, etc. All the fun things.

I'm sure that later on the 3510 will be a lot more tractor than I need to keep my drives up, but I'd rather have too much machine for now than not be able to do what needs to be done. Since you are in Texas you know about all the cedars that can be worked over to make room for something else, Pecan Trees, Apple Trees, even grass.

Thanks again to you and all those that have responded to my request.

I'll do like a lot of others have done, and let everyone know the progression of things and how much fun I have. Maybe I'll drag out the old digital camera and show some of the work that the Branson can do.

Bob
