Good morning!!!!

Drinking first cup of coffee. 19° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 36° with chance of mid day snow showers. Finally gave up using Shark-Bite pipe fittings on my copper pipes. Cut the section out where they were installed. Put that section back with soldered fittings. No leaks. After taking a shower did the last of my gift deliveries. Today I will do one last check of pipes in cellar. Then clean things up.
Sandhill Cranes have been gone for 1 1/2 months. They came back yesterday to help with cleanup.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

Good Tractor Morning,
Can't invite the neighbors over for cider and run out.
not offering beer or wine, not at 2pm on a Sunday.
now maybe at 5...

Well Drew, I guess I better not tell you the story about my neighbor doing his leaves a few weeks ago and me bringing over a couple of Beers 🍺, at 10:45 AM 😉😂

good Monday morning all
much colder today, 22 out now but should be a dry day

Winterdeere, you likely said before but why all the high amperage wiring on your trailer?
that's clearly more than lighting wiring.
do you have an inverter onboard?

glad all my entertaining is done.
have eaten too much junk food.
feel like I should just eat vegetables for next couple of days...

should have a fun but cold morning.
am picking up Popgadget this morning and driving to stored rv, will pull out the
batteries and bring them home so I can charge them on smart charger.
Also want to take that corroded rear lamp fixture home to clean all the contacts.

one of my rv wheel sun covers, silver bag, flew off in the last 50mph wind.
never did find it. wonder how many will be left.

Good Tractor Morning,
Ct, 18 to start going to 34. Local iOS like bad weather coming in tomorrow, so I guess I better work today, oh and Wednesday too 😉

The kiddos had a ball Saturday night, Nana makes it fun for them in many ways. 🙏

Buppies, so sorry to hear this, hopefully better days ahead my friend 🙏

Dennis, the wind was really rough here yesterday afternoon also. The temps just dropped quickly and the wind really was strong, so after doing all the popcorn balls and candy canes I never made it outside after that.

The day started off on the wrong foot when I went to go to the FD yesterday. My truck wouldn’t start, dead battery. I had to use Kathleen’s car to get over there to make breakfast. Also the truck was in the garage and I couldn’t even get to the battery, so when we went by the house in the fire truck the guys helped me push it out onto the drive way. 🥲 The real hurt came in the afternoon when I had to pay $225 for a replacement 🥲
Wow, they gave me a whopping $5 for bringing in the old core 😉

Hope all have a blessed day 🙏

Ron, those cranes are simply the coolest birds.
get some peacocks too and you could charge admission

do the crane feather colors change over the winter or do they look
the same all the time? Seems some had more color to them

cold weather is not a battery's friend
if the little cordless batteries can have those indicators that light up as to
amount of charge, why can't larger batteries?

got an annoying fine letter from PA Ezpass.
apparently when I drive my rv on the PA turnpike, because PA has no front tag, and I have
an Ebike on the back of my motorhome, their elevated cameras can't read the license plate.
The plate is not blocked at street level.

so either I pay a ten dollar surcharge every time I use the turnpike (heck no) or I take my bike
rack off. When I think of all the other folks in this state driving around with a bicycle out back, they must
sure fine a lot of people.

I'm going to dispute it, see what happens.

Good Morning from Central Texas.

5am, 60 degrees, 54 Dew point. Forecast is upper 70's up to 81 on Friday.

Tractor Repair day today. :( Hydraulic steering hose went out + new brake cylinder. The hose was a major PIA to remove and I am sure to replace. Noticed brake cylinder was leaking while pulling the hose. Of course, the gasket/o-ring has been discontinued, but JD will sell you a whole new master cylinder - OWCH. All the hydro fluid dumped so, another $100+ for fluids (think about 12 gallons needed) and broke down and bought a 5 gal bucket pump from B&B Auto. Guess happy it's not raining or 20 degrees today and the hose broke in the field and not while on the road. :)

Hope all have a great day !

22 heading to 46. I let the stove go out when it warmed up, but may build a fire this morning just for today and tonight.

Buppies, Prayers for you and Holly.

Kyle, glad you got to go to the game. Big crowd.

Scotty, great photo of the grands...I bet they are so excited with Santa coming soon.

Ken, beautiful Christmas goodies and decorations.

Yesterday was the last chance I had to go to the mountains before company arrives, etc. But it was 36F with steady wind over 20, gusts to 35 mph. I usually avoid old forests when high winds, and the trees were really creaking. Saw lots of deer, but nothing much else alive. Lots of frost heave, huge icicles hanging from cliffs, and some remaining snow, but almost all had melted.

Spike, sorry your hose broke, sure makes a mess
I looked up your John Deere, made in
Mannheim Germany home of Mercedes Benz.
I bet that's one well made tractor
Seems to be. My local mechanic said "Never sell this tractor". :) Of course, when things break, you don't think it's well made. Think the FEL was made in Canada ? Not sure, but had fits trying to replace a zerk awhile back. Seemed the threads were .... different than I thought.

Good morning TBN!!
23 chilly degrees as the sun is rising. Mid 50s today.

Slow day yesterday. Mostly spent puttering and walking the dog and watching football. Trying to break in my new boots. Got a good coating of conditioner on them but they fit well, so no blisters.
Worked on the Magdrill but still tripping the GFCI. Broke down and ordered a new switch and capacitor. Some one replaced the switch and did a horrible job of soldering, and the switch didn't look to be in very good shape.
Not sure what will be on todays agenda.

Time for a second cup
Everybody have a great and safe day!!

20 outside right now, heading to mid 40's.

Should be an OK day today for outside work. I have some countertop tiles that need the wet saw. I get more water on me than I care for.

That wind storm a few days ago blew a neighbors silo top covers off. We saw that damage on a supply run for the animals. It will take a lot of work to get them off, even more work to get them back on. Silo cover top repairs and replacements are not something you can just call up on and get done. It took us months to get our barn roof replaced.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe. Festivus is almost upon us.

Evidently it read the plate well enough to get your address to send you a letter.

Or if your address was obtained from an EZ Pass device in your vehicle, then they should have no need to photograph your tag to bill you for your toll.

Got home to Houghton later yesterday and got many necessary things done there, some nice skiing in and had a grand time in general at camp Covington. Its 14 here now and a high of 30 predicted, in fact the whole week looks dry and warm with highs near 30 all week. Could use more snow here. One photo is below and we had the neighbors dog along this time. More photos will be posted in my "camp property" thread. The fellows did arrive to get the Kodiak atv from use and he gave us a check. Hope everyone's Monday is the very best.

Sandhill Cranes have more of the Tan color in wing area during the summer months.
No peacocks at my place. I have seen them in the park about 2 miles west of me.
