Good show last night at Sight and Sound. Dinner was at neither of the recommended favorites due to show ending after 5pm and then the crowd out of the parking lot.

Settled on Olive Garden 😬 by the hotel (wife likes it). Stopped at the Apple Store in Park City this am for appointment for her iPad. No fixing, they are ordering another that I'll grab at the Christiana Store. So other than the fuel to pick it up, free replacement.

Back home after stopping at Grotto's in town for a very late lunch/early dinner.

Bailey the Beagle was very happy for us to get home.
lol, I commented to my wife the other day, that Olive Garden is out of place there... Odd to see the Chick-fil-a there also. Glad you liked the show, wouldn't mind seeing it again. I really enjoyed the Christmas show we went to.
We had a couple Beagle's on the farm over the years.

for about ten years I delivered cardboard boxes full of food at Thanksgiving and Christmas
for a local food pantry outside of Wrightstown. Some were delivered to very nice townhouse developments, one had an older Mercedes
suv in the driveway. All of these folks had been vetted by some local church. Almost all the ones that initially made me
raise my eyebrows were single moms with multiple kids at home and perhaps newly struggling. Several folks were foreign and
I remember being bowed to in thanks.

that very positive experience is what helped create my desire in retirement to farm and grow food for the poor.
I wanted to do more than just deliver boxes. Every one had ten pounds of potatoes, would usually do 8-10 boxes.
thankfully I had an early Garmin back then.

later on, the red potatoes I grew were bundled up in clear plastic bags and were taken home by the folks in line at the
food pantry.

seems in all the youtube animal videos I watch, it's clear the number one way you bond with an animal is to feed it.
not so different for people

in the NC food pantry, the patrons were divided in pretty even thirds, whites, blacks and Hispanic.
I admit I checked out the cars in the parking lot very carefully. I was wondering where my potatoes
and tomatoes were going. Most of the cars were beaters, old vans, crown vics, and small nissans.
they were just plain poor and I was glad to feed them. Couple of nicer pickups came in but it was clear they were delivering
relatives as the driver sat in his truck. These folks had also been vetted, every one had filled out a financial form of some kind.
There was government and local supermarket give away food there too,, and one of supermarket's requirements is that some form
of vetting occur. I'm sure someone gamed the system but basically it worked and folks got fed.

folks who cheat on fuel oil probably cheat on their income taxes too.
hopefully proper karma will prevail

Good morning TBN!!
36 again this morning. Should be upper 40s with some breaks of sun.

Yesterday was working on the buggy again. Ended up replacing the rest of the cross member braces as the old one were too rusty to weld with out burning through. Must have been up and down on the lift about half dozen times. Measure, measure again, tac, weld but got er done.
Also got the wheel back on the tractor.
Burned the paper and boxes since it was raining some of the day.
Rearrange some owner manuals I have filed. Harbor Freight got it's own folder. Not that their manuals are all that great. Not sure why I keep them all. Easier to find on the net then in my drawers. LOL
Spent some time looking to see if any of the consumables I got at an auction would fit my equipment would fit. Of course not. If anyone needs any HyperTherm or Miller consumables let me know.
Homemade sketty for dinner and called it a day.

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

Good morning! 39ËšF heading to the mid 70s with lots of sun and S wind.
Still getting familiar with the new truck. Toyota in addition to the fob now has a card the size of a credit card that unlocks and starts truck. It checked out OK yesterday. Added more car lengths to adaptive cruise and got all doors to unlock when I opened the drivers door. Little things, but I did have to resort to you tube to figure it out the first time.

Today I need to go for a long hike on the neighborhood trails since it will be getting cold again tomorrow. No rain in the 10 day forecast. The last rain last weekend only gave us 0.11".

Signed up for the neighborhood Christmas dinner since it will have a vegan option. It helps that the neighborhood president is also vegan.

30 outside right now, heading to 40. All my HVACs are running. Sigh...

We got around 1 1/2 inches of snow yesterday. A dusting really. Enough for three accidents in front of the house. One was pretty serious, the lady slid off the road (at high speed) into the guard rail. She was lucky she did not roll over into the embankment. The other two just slid off the road. Shame people just cannot figure out speed vs conditions. That was the excitement for the day.

I have a house full of women as my daughters are all in town for a friends wedding. Maybe they can take the subtle hint? LOL. Doubt it...too independent and bull headed. LOL.

Need to get outside and do the morning chores, the animals are on the fence line looking for their breakfast.

Found the x-Mas lights, right where I always leave them. There were two bags and well. I thought all the lights were in one bag. Of course with the snow cover on the metal roof. it will have to wait for another day.

Hope all have a good day. Be Safe.
