Good morning!!!!

   / Good morning!!!! #215,171
30 and snowing...2 to 3" so far. Should only get up to 34 this afternoon, so should stick around.

Don, congrats on that sharp looking truck. Enjoy!

Mostly, pretty Christmas lights. It didn't really take 15 hours, did it?

Ron, I saw that moon rising between 2 mountains as we were coming off the trail. Beautiful.

Lou, hope you're feeling okay and heal up real soon.

Buppies, so happy that Precious is being such a good companion for Holly.

A small celebration last night as I reached my 2025 goal of hiking 800 miles yesterday...I beat my other goal last week...hiking a total of 100,000 feet of elevation gain. Della also set her longest one-day distance record yesterday. We'll play soccer or frisbee in the snow today.
Congrats on your 800 miles!

Wish my legs were in that kind of shape, but years of accidents have degraded the knees and such. Almost every job I ever had until I got into the programming office required me standing all day or most all of the day.

We are watching my wife's sister's 3 year old boy. SO MUCH ENERGY IN A 35LB BOY!!! He's going back home sometime....not sure when. :0 He's chilling watching the Grinch right now. I might prefer to sleep on the couch tonight. Good thing I have a very long couch.

My grease zerts came in. Metric and SAE. Nothing wrong with steel zerts Mostly. Hope these are good, there's a lifetime supply unless I get into business selling zerts.

Still looking at bidirectional scanners. They seem to priced at price points. Was hoping to find one that would program the TPMS sensors, by holding it near them. But there are super cheap TPMS programmers for like $13. but not sure if they'll work on my little toy sedan. Need it to work on GM, and my toy sedan. Seems only the units $600 or more can do TPMS and SRS. Autel sells a complete only TPMS unit for about $300. Thinking I'll order the super cheap TPMS programmer and try it out.

Glad Holly and Precious are getting along and have each other. Prayers. Our little chihuahua has really taken to my mom.

BEF, take it easy on that shoulder. I had mine nearly wiped out by a cousin of ciproflaxin antibiotic. It took 2 years of not moving it beyond the point of pain before it was much better. The human body can heal itself fairly well on many things or other muscles will learn to compensate for things.

Off today. Ran errands all day it seems like.

I did stop at the 1 tire store here to check on tractor tires. I asked if he sold tractor sizes. "What size?", "11.2-24", "I have 2 in stock.", "May I see what they are?", "Yes, I only carry the best, but I can get cheaper tires if you want me to order some." They were the Firestones. $435/each mounted. I told him I have to get new rims, but was just checking to see if he carried them. I can get 2 of some other supposedly good ones for about $250 each. I will need to find the quote to remember what brand. Seems like the place that sells the 6 loop rims only usually has silver rims in stock. He shows yellow, but doesn't seem to have them in stock ever. Guess I'll have to paint a pair. Deere dealer wants 3-4 times more $ for the same rim, only yellow. So when someone tells you green paint is expensive, you need to correct them and tell them yellow paint is more expensive.

Stopped at lumberyard to see how much rough cut cedar is. 1x12x20' is $108 per board. Guy in the shop told me yellow pine is cheapest, white pine a bit higher than yellow. They just happened to be stacking yellow in the size I need for wood duck houses. But need trailer to go get a couple of them. May just paint the yellow pine tan.

Finding your misplaced pocketknife sets the day as a good day.

Have a feral cat here now... stays away until we are sleeping to come scam the food.

just approved my student worker employees' time sheets.

There was a new Chevy Trax small SUV on the Price is right today. $24,xxx. It had a 1.2 litre turbo engine. My motorcycle has a 1.3L na or 1300cc engine. I believe the small Broncos have a 1.3L 3 cylinder turbo. I wonder what redline is on these small engines? And how does the watery 0w-10 or whatever thin oil keep them lubricated?

We had a gingerbread house competition at work and a party of finger foods and desserts. I was amazed at how much work/time some people put into their houses.

Our school is starting a top down, bottom up review of all our classes to make sure they follow state laws recently passed. It is a public university. There are some things that they should not have been teaching IMO.

"remains firmly committed to providing a rigorous, high-quality education to our students, preparing our graduates as responsible and engaged citizens ready for successful careers in a global economy. And that education must be grounded in academic freedom and academic responsibility. We rely on the expertise of our faculty, instructors and graduate teaching assistants to teach complex subjects with intellectual integrity, disciplinary rigor and respect for our students as learners. At the same time, we must ensure that our instructional materials and syllabi comply with state law"

Nice Christmas lights Mostly.

Everyone have a blessed evening (or day Wagtail).

Drew, this for you to get to know the Volvo 544. This is the 1965 model that wife loved

It also had changed seats with Recaro upscale ones. Quite fast with the engine mods I did. Could do 90 MPH in third gear and about 120 in fourth gear
In 20 years of owning it, it never had any problems and only required routine maintenance

White KD?
Kraft Dinner, comes in orange imitation cheese or white imitation cheese. I like the white, it almost tastes like old cheese and doesn't react violently like the orange cheese does.
Your snow season starting early compare years past?
Nope, right on time. I have seen it where you almost have to dress the kids in a snow suit to go out on Halloween night.
Thunder Bay, ON is on the north shore of Lake Superior and one night in October after thanksgiving I went to bed and it was raining out. I got up in the morning and there was a foot of snow on my tractor and trailers. The way I look at it that anytime after Labour Day you can expect snow. May not get it, but this little old boy scout tries to be prepared.

Good morning, the low is 25 and going up to 30°F. wind S 16 gusting to 23 mph. Snow squall watch. I will sit in here until about 10 or 11 and watch for a snow squall. Then I will be a party pooper and plow it.

After I plow I will probably do the previously cancelled dump/town run.

That is my day planned out.

Have a safe one

Coffee has finished brewing. 26° with Cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 32° with a few snowflakes in afternoon. Spent all day in the house yesterday. Sassy went out to take care of her business. It was get it done and back in the house. I got my old iPad updated and Sony headphones hooked up to it. So I can listen to music or other audio while doing my daily exercise. Today I have to cleanup the places I looked for the cables and other supplies. What a mess.. Lots of stuff thrown in the boxes and drawers over the years.

I have no tolerance of scammers, but things are not always as they appear. Could be a poor planner that just got canned, or a multitude of hardship causing events. Or a scammer.

I find that when I make quick assumptions that i am usually wrong.
Yes, that surely could be the case.
