L4N, nice snow.
We had a trace of snow on at the farm this morning. My oldest brother came up from southern Ohio yesterday, so he stayed at the farm also. Another visit to see dad today, and now home. Drove thru snow flurries all day, but nothing stuck. Picked up a good blackberry pie at a place we like in SW PA, it had just come out of the oven and was still a little warm when we got home to try it.

Thomas, hope you kicked the crud.

yum blackberry pie. With Bluebell homemade vanilla a la mode.

Son and I went to the local breakfast taco place. It was packed. Trying to teach him trajectories of distant hole punchers and how to sight in a nug. Told him he needs to memorize drop for every 50 yard increment out to 300. We got his hunting license online. He set up my old ground blind in a place he figures he will see the thirty pointer.

Wifey is warming up leftovers. I already snuck 2 pieces of pizza a couple hours ago. But the leftovers hit the spot.

28F snowflakes dancing in the air heavy at times. :(

4 days pillow hugging hibernating under blankets,Mrs. threaten to call 911 EMS least twice feeling 80% better today, whatever I caught kick my @ss.
Soon Mrs. I 2 kittens will enjoy belated turkey day.
Mrs. said last 3 morning and dusk Papa Boo would lay next to my pickup for hours...that pull some heart strings. :) Both kittens sure enjoy my bed time.

Plans for the evening little turkey dinner keep recliner warm watch some football until pillow time.

Enjoy your evening all.
Thomas, hope you kick whatever is ailing you to the curb. Blankets tell me fever. Fever tells me infection or something brewing. I try not to take fever reducers until I hit 102F. Let the body do its thing. Your situation may need listening to your wifey!

Still watching football. At least it is college football.

Lou, hope your testing goes well and you get better too.

Everyone take care in that cold weather up north. Looks like a really cold week coming for many. Already here for many. Don, you might want to take another cruise.

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 8.5C and it's presently 20.4C, partly cloudy & fairly calm. Some wind and rain predicted for this arvo & into tomorrow.

Yesterday, after posting to GM/TBN I got stuck into assembling the new TV.
Recently got a 75" LG smart TV.
Yep, that's what I bought. What I didn't know, because the warehouse blokes loaded it into my ute, was just how bloody heavy it is! It's just me here at "Wagtail Park"... short story is that it took me over an hour to get it into the house. I had to un-pack it outside and move it bit-by-bit into the living room.
Then came the 'assembly' portion, mostly consisting of getting the mounting stand attached. I positioned the TV for lifting it onto the cabinet then had a quick lunch whilst reading the 'owner manual'.
Packing foam/packing box and the 'old' TV into the back of the ute; to the tip to dispose of it. I then swung around to the PO to collect a 14 bottle case of wine. From there I went over to my neighbour to ask for his help lifting the new TV up. (y)

And then the 'fun' started. I've said it many times that I HATE being dragged into the 21st Century and this was no different! Everything 'worked' except there was no sound output to the soundbar. I even switched over to the TV's internal speakers and nothing! Many expletives were expressed. The TV sound, however, tested good.

It took until 1820 for me to discover that my "Foxtel" set-top box was muted. So now everything is working enough for me to enjoy. There's still some 'customisation' that I can do, but that's enough for now.

Today's task is to head over to the Church and change the 'colours' from green to purple as tomorrow is the start of Advent.

That's about it, take care all.

BEF, I am not a fan of ice on the road either. A friend of mine (fellow truck driver for the same company) suggested I go to Northern Alberta and run the ice roads into the North West Territories. Nope, aint gonna happen.
Another fellow that runs a grader for the same crew I was hauling to wanted me to work on the ice roads in Northern Ontario in winter. I told him the same thing.
When I was in my 20s, you would find me on the ice in winter most of the time when I wasn't working. In my car. The car wasn't fit for the road with a big hole in the floor boards on the passenger side and bald tires all the way around. Perfect for ice fishing. I lived 3/4 of a mile from the lake. The car wasn't plated or insured. The local cops were few and far between so although I took a chance running it down the road I never did get caught.

Good Morning All.

   / Good morning!!!! #214,810
Thanks Mostly!
Morning everyone! 21 now going to a blustery high 30's.
Small storm last night has the roads covered with just enough snow for the town to come out and treat with sand. Looks like more on the way for Tuesday.
Had a good time Thursday so no complaints for me except for excessive food consumption! Still working on left overs and it looks like at least another couple meals to go.
Going to be a quiet weekend I think. Will keep the pellet stove humming and just play.
Not much else going on. Glad everyone had a good holiday! Hope those ailing get well.

I guess that's it for now. Wife decided the tree needed an angel instead of a topper so I made one out of bass wood and mappa burl. I decided it needed lights so I made some out of maple and parachord. I think it's complete now! I had enough bulbs made to attach some in a bag just like store bought trees. Lol!

Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
