Good morning, the low is 21 and going up to 27°F. Wind WNW 17 gusting to 25 mph. 60% chance of flurries is what the forecast says, but I am here to tell you it is snowing fairly heavy out there.

I WILL be plowing today, no doubt about it. So far there is 10" on the deck railing. After plowing there will be a town run.
We only have about 1/3 of the normal garbage for the dump and I don't feel like risking my butt on the goat trail the township calls the 'alternate' route to the dump. The main route is dug up to replace a culvert, that should have been done in the summer.

There is my day planned out.

Have a safe day all

25 and starry out. Looking for 43.

My wife made a wonderful dinner for us, and our 2 YO granddaughter stole the show. She invented a new hugging game where she runs and crashes into you for a hug...goes around the whole room giving hugs bouncing around like a pinball machine. They are heading up to NOVA to DIL's parents this morning.

30 outside right now, may get into lower 40's today. Big difference from t-Shirt weather a few days ago. Family and friends all gone back to their homes. Only MIL remains. Went for a "hike" with her yesterday, too cold for her, even though we insisted she wrap up a lot better. No biggy, but cut short the adventure.

Today, need to get the wood stove fired back up. Need to get the horses checked on, blankets and water heaters. Also get some paper work done on the real jobs and maybe if I am lucky sign off by noon.

Hope all had a good holiday, and maybe an early start to the weekend. Be safe.

Good morning TBN!!
29 going to only 40. Should be dry at least.

Ate and watched football. That was the whole day except visiting with our host and friends.
Probably not to much on the agenda. Black Friday shopping a little from right her in the comfort of my recliner. Maybe a little more for Cyber Monday.

Time for a second cup.
Everyone have a great and safe day after!!

Good Morning to All Who Celebrate! Currently 34° heading to a high of 38° cold and clear but snow in the forecast, up to 3 inches. I think the snowpush should be able to handle that easily, but I'll stop being lazy and get the snowblower off the trailer and ready.

Great pics all! I'll be around shortly for round 2 and I'll take any leftovers y'all got left! :)

Only drama here on Thanksgiving was my aunt talking my 92 year old grandmother to go from a reasonably sized 12 pound turkey (Remember, there are only 6 of us for thanksgiving this year) to a 24 pound anchor of a bird. It barely fit in the oven, she didn't have a roasting pan big enough so she had to use one of those flimsy aluminum ones. Well, when it was loaded with 24 pounds of bird and about 3 gallons of water and other gravy related juices. She couldn't lift it out of the oven. I can already see the headline: "Local elderly woman severely scalded by monster turkey."

Fortunately, two of us were able to successfully rescue the turkey. Of course, my aunt who had convinced to upgrade to this mega bird wasn't around. So if anyone needs extra turkey, just give me a holler. We'll probably be eating this thing until New Years.

Other than that, it was a good holiday. Got the downed wild cherry tree cut up and stashed away, Dad didn't want the wood. Oh, and the Farm Boss decided to cooperate, think some bar oil or something prevented that twist on cap from locking last time. Once I fiddled with it for about five minutes it managed to click properly into place. For the first time this year, he lit a fire in the fireplace, I guess my grousing him about a fire every 4 years got to him.

Dad shoves off for "Long range wireless hole puncher" season starting today. Mom joins the rest of the hunting widows for their trip to Upstate NY. The dog and I will be here, holding down the fort. Although the dog might get dumped with Grandma, depends on if campground owning friend wants to process firewood this coming week or not. I still have days off to burn, and only 32 hours of PTO roll over into the New Year. There's also rumblings that the Great Firewood Gathering Session will be soon, either next weekend or the following, so we shall see.

Goals for this weekend: Ready the snowblower, put the blower and the push on the tractor, just in case.

Y'all stay safe out there and be well!
Prayers for all ailing and recovering!

EDIT: Oop, I said a no-no word. Sorry. "" shows what was changed. :)

Morning all, 35 to 42 windy/sunny, wind is howling.
Thanksgiving went well yesterday, turkey came out perfect and pies were consumed.
roasted brussel sprouts and made cranberry sauce half the sugar and touch of lemon juice.
BIL dog and my dog running around, certainly getting along better, but you can see jealousy when one or the other is getting attention.
Not sure what's on the plate for today, wife wants to go shopping, I'd rather not

Be well,
