Good morning and happy T-day TBN! We are up packing to "hopefully" head to camp. Its about 25 here and breezy 25 NW wind with with 35 gusts. I see at camp its cooler there, but lots less wind. Dearest is bringing food to camp for thanksgiving type dinner. Photos are going into FB of dry western shores on Lake Erie due to the seiche. Later folks!

Happy Thanksgiving. Hope all can enjoy the day with loved ones, family and friends.

36 outside right now, heading to mid 40's. A big change from yesterday. Heck I was walking about with a t-shirt on and it still felt warm.

Will sit back and enjoy the day today, not much else. This time of year I am just reflecting back and remembering those no longer with us. Gosh, only 35 days left in the year.

MIke what is the difference between an office and a study? Hope the changes for the new year are good ones.

For me, the Office was where I did the real jobs. The tax man said so.
The study will not have any computer type devices....only relaxing chairs and a bookshelf or two.

Hope all have a great holiday. Be safe. Enjoy.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

The plan is for a quiet one today, on the early side. Should be fun cooking everything. I picked a bunch of almalfi lemons (? Very aromatic, large, thick, rough skinned) yesterday and salt preserved them, along with twelve or so Bearss limes, which is the first time we have had more than one. They say limes take awhile to adapt to transplanting, and this one is around five years to acclimatize. I'm thinking of making a lime/cranberry sauce. TBD.

We've been having a miasma of smog move in midday each day
for the last week or so, and the air quality goes down the tubes, which rather limits outdoor activities. It seems much worse than normal, but that's the way weather works, I guess.

All the best, Peter

Happy Thanksgiving all! Thankfully, the 50mph winds have died down. "Storm Watch" is out for our first winter storm of the season. Starting Friday night, and the numbers are 6" - 14". Plow is on the Ranger, will need to get the chains and pusher put on the tractor. Here we go...

Good morning and a Happy Thanksgiving to all. We have company and will all be going to a local place with a nice buffet. Someone else will be doing all of the work. I can only tolerate eating turkey maybe one meal and after that, my arthritis kicks in so it works for me.

I am currently watching Jims Automotive Machine Shop, Inc on youtube. A father and son team rebuilding a W series 348 Chev motor. By the time they are finished it should be a 436 cu in. Very interesting, to me at least.

So far we've gotten an inch of snow. Not enough to be bothered plowing, yet.

As for thanksgiving, I am thankful every day that at 79 I have out lived both my Mother (died at age 66 in 1988) and Father (died at age 71 in 1993).
According to my quack IF I don't take all the goobers he prescribed I will die, so I want to be the oldest man alive and will continue taking them until I hit 176. I lived the first 76 years without any goobers, so taking these goobers should add another 100 years to me.;)

You diabetics out there (you know who you are) take it easy on the rich food today, you've only got 34 days to get your sugars back under control before you get to do it all over again.

Morning all, 44 going up to 44 and cloudy.
Took the dog for a walk at peddlars after work, did a little other stuff, but not much.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Off to make the cranberry sauce and get the turkey prepped.

Lights are up at Peddlars, rain kept the crowds down.

Here's hoping all of you and your families have a blessed Happy Thanksgiving. So much to be thankful for. 47F going to 64.

We plan to eat at 1pm. We cooked, deboned and sliced up the Turkey yesterday. It is in a plastic baking bag on a baking sheet. We'll put it in the roaster for an hour or so to bring it up to temp.
We have a pumpkin cheesecake, chocolate pie, congealed cranberry salad for desserts.
Need to make the gravy, green bean casserole and stuffing. Wifey was worn out from yesterday's cooking.

We are expecting up to 15 or more.

Throat still sore, along with torso but hot shower and warm coffee is helping the throat and just getting up and going helps the sore muscles. I'm holding off taking the Z pack to see if my body will beat back the sore throat. I like to save antibiotics if I can for more extreme situations.

Been there a few times. Used to live in Watertown.
You must be a glutton for that white stuff that falls from the sky. :)

Billy, I'll swing by and pick you up. Engineer's cherry pie is motivating me!

I hope TxDon's cruise is still going good.

We might have tamales and enchiladas for Christmas but this cartoon hits home.
