Good one riptides never had squirrel stew but have had bologna soup and carp
sounds like stuff you need a lot of mouthwash afterwards...
carp is right up there with shad

well miss daisy cancelled out, nurses at landlady's so we will pick another day next week.
I had showered and trimmed my beard and dressed nicely, well for nothing.

I worked in a number of restaurants in my home town area and one was near Ken and Bowman's Tower.
I was asked to help bus at a new Greek restaurant there. lots of tasty lamb dishes
and a lot of sticky honey desserts
all in the seasoning and I figured that gyro would have plenty
one burp for each exit on the turnpike, not to be

lot to accomplish today, now I have time to do leaves again before it rains tonight
going to be grey and cloudy all day

I still have those leftover mums to plant and I guess the ground will cooperate now.
maybe tomorrow
they are definitely a get to.

some pictures that popped up today
my beautiful XJR that the mechanic messed up
400hp supercharged V8, butter smooth, smelled like leather and wood
had the good wheels too, the Alpina style. I put the correct tires on, good for 165mph+.
triple black, marvelous paint
bought for 16, sold for 8, but lots of fun while I had it.
whoever thinks Jaguars don't stop depreciating, well think again

I rode in the backseat of a Jaguar about 40 years ago Drew. While the leather was soft the ride was horrible!

I just spoke to a friend that has a diesel Jag. She said something went in the engine, cam she thinks, and they want 41k for a new engine, installed!

So she now has a blue decoration in her driveway next to her new Escalade.

My grandfather had a Jag Mk VII for a while.
I remember riding in the back with the burlwood fold down tables and silver plate metal fixtures.
Dual gas tanks and lots of leather.
First time it broke down, the cost to fix drove my GF to sell it quick,

Not my picture as this would have been in the late 60's

The XJR was such a nice car, too bad the mech made a mess of it.

Wow, someone else on TBN like me 😂 Ran my wheel Horse C125 from 1982 thru 2023 😃
Just like you... only even more more-so! :p I ran my 1963 Cub Cadet 123 daily, until I sold it in 2015! It had the OEM plow, snowblower, and mower deck attachments, and I had also purchased tow-behind spreader, aerator, and utility trailer, sized for that little work horse of a machine.

I'll admit it wasn't the most reliable tractor I ever owned, but it was very repairable. I just got sick of storing two tractors, and the frequent attention the thing needed for repairs.

My Father's one fishing buddy who made his millions before the dot com bubble burst has had a Jaguar since I've been alive. That car was always the harbinger of Summers end. Seeing that in the driveway meant they were here to fish and school was starting soon.

He would drive that thing down from Boston every year for decades up until he moved out west. How that thing survived New England winters I have no idea. My assumption is he still has it. 30 some years!

Good morning TBN!!
55 this morning going up to about 70 and cloudy.

Not much going on.
Still nursing my back from compressor moving.
Most of yesterday and today so far sorting hardware to make it easier to find. Years of accumulation that has just gotten thrown together. It is definitely a never ending job but I go down the rabbit hole every once in a while. This time sparked byu back and the need for a lugnut for the buggy whish I found. Pretty sure I won't find a stud though

Already had a second cup.
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

my car had a full airbag suspension that worked like a dream
and since was the first high tech Jag built under Ford's review with an all
aluminum body, it was not overly heavy. Same tech rolled out for subsequent
XF and XE models, neither of which were successful or reliable.
but this one, a 2004 was exceptionally reliable
until my mechanic screwed up something perhaps while doing the brakes and it made
noises thereafter. Annoying noises and when the only foreign can shop in town screwed it up,
time to sell. I was in Washington NC and did not feel like driving over two hours West to Raleigh for service.
