43 cloudy, heading to 53.

Buppies, hope you get some sleep today.

Thomas, Della has lots of adventures, but her favorite might be a toss-up: playing rough all through the forest with Kai, the Portuguese Water Dog, or the time we got stranded when my Tundra got arrested, and she got to sleep in a motel and eat a cheeseburger for dinner. She also likes staring off high cliffs at the scenery and swimming even on the coldest days.

Don, yesterday we took my wife's Highlander to the Toyota dealer for a state inspection. While waiting, we walked the lot looking at new vehicles, I spotted a Tacoma from a distance and told my wife I'd never seen that color and how sharp it looked...we walked over and it was Bronze Oxide! The truck was a Trailhunter model, which I wasn't familiar with...all decked out...and a good name.

69°F and 2.45 inches rain. Rainy season might be here.

Yesterday didn’t go as planned. Car loaded, pressed start on Sophie’s less than year old Subaru only to hear the dreaded clicking sound of a dead battery. Opted to postpone trip and just do a jump after coffee. Nope. Long story short, battery been sitting on charger all night , but not hopeful. Late in afternoon made trip to Hilo to pickup a replacement just in case. Left that on separate charger to top off. Will post results.

UPS delivered my replacement slip clutch. Thought box was a bit larger, heavier than expected. Turns out to be a 12v 160 amp alternator. Very nice lady at Amazon has replacement coming next Tuesday

We host H&F this afternoon

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day

Drew got to restaurant half hour before me, and said it don't look open, so he went on. I had planned to pick up another ton of pellets afterwards, so I still went by on my way, since it wasn't any longer of a drive for me, and it sure looked closed at 11:00 when we were to meet. So I got a ton of pellets, my 3rd this year, and another $350 poorer, but this should be for next year.

Some times the bronze oxide looks brownish sometimes a charcoal gray.
Mine will be made in Dec.

45F and cloudy @ 13:30, calling for a high of 46F for the day with light and variable winds. Low this morning was 32.4F.

Made some progress yesterday on the second half of that 8' section of stud wall.

Had to disconnect a pair of low voltage wires that run to the outside AC unit as those wires (and the refrigerant line) are where a stud should go (using 16" O.C.)

Unfortunately, the refrigerant line can't be relocated so I'll have to cobble up some alternative near the top where those come through the outside wall.

Otherwise I got the remainder of that section shimmed and nailed in place.

On the agenda for the remainder of the day:

Figure out what I'm going to do about that one stud.

Get 2 electrical boxes put up on that section of wall. Out of electrical outlets so will have to hold off on getting those installed.

Finish up Menards order for a few odds and ends and get that placed, maybe go and pick that up this evening.

Hope everyone is having a decent Thursday ... (y)

good afternoon, 45 which is the high for the day

Dr appointment went well. No new complications. Wife to continue with half a dozen prescriptions and monthly infusion

Brought over a couple of days worth of firewood to the back door on the Gorilla cart and loaded the copper tub inside the house. Also went down to the barn and picked up a bucket full of smaller wood pieces for fire startups. Cleaned the glass window on the stove with a wet paper towel dipped in ash. Works like a charm. Opened up the air on the stove and away it went.

May go down to the barn and see what I can find for my new way to support the post vise
