no sand between my toes, cold out there but safe and sound in back of huge cattle farm
in a very country campground near Haymarket VA. Remarkably they have been here 40 years.
Huge luxobarge on one side of me, older retired guy, and a working man and wife and dog on the other side. They are from Louisiana, very nice, have been here several months, and he, no surprise, is up here working on AI data center installs, probably over near Dulles.

nice visit with my brother and his wife who had to leave after an hour as the sun was going down.
not a great drive, over five hours, bad construction on PA turnpike, they are digging up all the concrete on several stretches, and then on the part of this trip I really looked forward to, going down route 15 into MD and VA, the traffic was not only bad, but for 45 minutes South of Leesburg I went 2mph. Lady behind me was about to tangle her
grill in my bike holder she was so close. Finally traffic opened up and end of drive ok.
But I'm worn out, five hours too much for me, and 45 minutes of stop and go was the
bad cherry on top

good wifi here, no surprise
have a nice youtube scene playing on the tv, fireplace in the background and a light rain bringing down leaves outside. Light jazz
much better

I have a fir tree in my yard that came from near where you are near Haymarket. A guy didn't want it in his yard any longer, hand dug it, and I got it one day after work. It was small then....

No rain here yet, although the radar shows green.

No court duty wednesday, but with the current rate, my number is very likely to come up Thursday. If so, won't make lunch. Will let you know tomorrow night when I call in.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 9C and it's presently 20.9C, clear with a stiff wind.

Wood stacking progressed yesterday.

Thankfully, I'm in no hurry, weatherwise, to get the remaining wood stacked as life, somewhat, has other ideas towards my day. Today is 'into town' day for groceries followed by a mid-arvo medical appointment at the clinic... it's that drivers assessment + other consultation regarding that 24hr BP test result, pharmaceutical review and next week's diabetic specialist appointment (in Launceston).

That's about it, take care all.
