Nursery rhyme moon yesterday morning.

I don't have a leaf issue. The wind moves them out of the housing areas.

The funny thing is that I don’t either. The buildings are all on the top of the hill and the leaves go away with the wind. There are a few areas where they get trapped, but this is really just an exercise because I have all the pieces and a like to tinker.

Our Hackberry trees are out in the pastures and around the barn, no issues there.
We have a new dog who has become quite the Hackberry connoisseur. Trouble is, she's so distracted with vacuuming those damn things up off our back walk the last 10 days, that I can't get her to actually go to the bathroom when I put her out!

Our Silver Maples break down really nice and there are only about six remaining around the houses.
Those damn silver maples become the bane of my existence, each fall. We have a half dozen large, like 6 ft diameter x 120 to 150 ft. tall, and they drop enough leaves to fill a semi truck each week, for a few weeks in row each fall. They may break down faster than others, but in the volume we see, they're awful deep. I deal with them thru a mix of mulching what I can into the lawn, then blowing some into the woods, and the rest into a creek where they get swept away and/or broken down.

Morning all, 32 to 49 and sunny.
Got very little done after day job, still need to clean the last bit of removals from basement cleanup today.
The wind blew some of the light around, so will need to fix that.

The problem I have with the silver maples is they are all starting to age out, split and drop.

Be well,

I feel like I'm being watched.

I share the same feelings on Silver Maples. Ours too are around that size. Over the last decade we have halved their numbers around the houses. They are a dangerous unpredictable tree as they age. When they drop a "branch" it usually means big trouble of some sort. I have close to seven cords ready to be burned from the last two we took out. And that was after I took the biggest rounds to the burn piles.

Not a fan, close to buildings.

Good morning TBN! Was about 20 here in town this am and 10 at camp Covington. Today's high predicted to be around 36. Dearest is slow at work so I'll be visiting insurance retailers with her. Her Bronco is sitting at the tire/oil change shop now. Got summer stuff put away yesterday, ground up the late leaves in the yard and got work done to the trailer. Do hope we can leave it at camp this weekend.... Nothing exciting to report from here. Pic taken earlier this fall. Leaves are all down today.

Popgadget, was thinking about you when I saw this video about the iconic B&O record player dating back to 1973 and restored to better than new condition. B&O bought up old record players and is selling them again as refurbished for 11,000 dollars but apparently a superb product
