It feels like a swamp here at the moment. 100% humidity. We're supposed to get an inch of rain on Thursday. We need it. Otherwise, pretty normal for this time of the year.

We knew the family business was butter and eggs in Newark...
Just imagine a dairy farm in the middle of downtown Newark, today! You have to wonder if his decision to switch to auto repair was based more on the obvious growing need, or because he could already see that maintaining a farm in Newark was going to be unfeasible at some point, if not already.

Our closest town also had a large poultry farm up until about 1970, on a site that's now a gas station, bank, and several other busy Main Street businesses. I wouldn't have believed it, if an older friend hadn't shown me pictures of it, from when he grew up on that farm. :ROFLMAO:

Good morning tbn folks! Another exciting day in the Copper country (I'm kidding). Its 30 here now with a light breeze happening. We got lots and lots of fall shuttling done yesterday and we are planning to head to camp on Friday. Trailer work will progress more today and the floor screws are predicted to show up on Tuesday. Working on this with some furniture in there bits!

Good Morning
36° and sunny. High in the middle 40’s.

Yesterday was a rare day in that it followed the plan. Made some nice progress doing maintenance to the lodge hall, followed by progress on the little plane.

When I got back home, son brought his pressure washer up for me as a project. This is the one that had a stuck valve with only a few hours on it. TSC wouldn’t do any thing for him because he didn’t have a receipt, so he bought another one. Not what I would have done….

I had previously freed the stuck valve and determined that there was an issue with the cam, probably the compression release, and told him to see about warranty. Last night I removed the pump and removed the oiled drain plug.
Today, I’ll pull the side cover off and see what’s up with the cam.

Hopefully I’ll finish up the blower mount on the Lazer and get back to the hangar to finish up.
That should keep me occupied until the Oddfellows meeting after dinner tonight.

My great grandfather was a very enterprising man. He owned a hotel, hardware store bank wagon wheel company made wrought iron fences some still in use today and owned land in various parts of the country. My grandfather said his father never slept. I have two erns that were made by him. The wrought iron company led to fabricated steel bridges buildings misc metal and jail equipment

Good morning TBN!!
46 expecting to add 20 to it before day is done

Haven't posted in a couple of mornings for no discernible reason other then it's been 1 yr since my son died. I really miss him.
Mostly been puttering around in the garage.
Took the brakes off the buggy and they were pretty much shot. Could have restored them but just decided to replace the calipers, All three were $80. Worth that in time alone. Got them yesterday so that's probably on today's agenda.
Friend of mine brought his 5th wheel trailer in to the garage. He had bought a couple of axles for it off a mobile trailer. We got on of the axles off and he took all three to cut down and match. So his trailer will be in the empty bay for a few days. Garage is looking pretty full with on four wheeler on the lift, the buggy under and the other 4 wheeler behind it and his trailer in the second bay.
Took the blower on a long walk and burned thru 4 batteries in the process. Mostly to clean out the ditch next to the drive. Should be the last time this year.

Time for a second cup.
Everybody have a great and safe day!!
