Good morning!!!!

Had our breakfast meeting with the new minister.
Then I did a software upgrade at the church building, which broke another piece of software. Took awhile to get that all sorted with some new drivers. Hate doing updates, because all this stuff works together, and one update wrecks another.

tonight our gang of 4 couples are eating at a german restaurant, same gang for tomorrows breakfast, and half of us was at the breakfast meeting this morning....

Setup another mesh router unit to try it out in the barn.

For this very reason, I do not do updates, unless they fix something that is an issue to me, add a feature that I need, or are required for hardware additions. I always study the readme file to see what changed.
Updates have caused me far more problems then they ever solved.

Yea, I was after a new feature that allows a phone app to work with the equipment. In the end, got everything back working with the update, but the phone app feature still not working... And once I updated the equipment with a new software version, it would not let me go back to the old software, I tried that...

We used to have some fun with email filters at one place I worked.
We would try to see how many flagged words we can get into one email.
I won and got a call from the head of security asking me to please stop

He was an ex mercenar-y and was well known when he had a problem with his Mac one day, he decided to go with Windows and used his Pew Pew to make the mac obsolete quite spectacularly.

Can't imagine anyone getting away with that in a large company today.

He had lots of great stories.

I knew someone who tossed their old one (with CRT) out a ten story window, while powered up, plugged into several extension cords. By chance, I happened to come by soon afterwards and saw the debris on the concrete, and wondered "what the heck?!??" I didn't even know the building had any windows that opened. Apparently he had the only one for historic reasons that I no longer remember. Nor can I remember what pushed him over the edge about it.

It would have made a great video, I'm sure.

The plaza was spotless the next morning.

All the best,

Peter

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 12C and it's presently 17.3C, overcast & fairly calm. Rain is predicted all day.

Yesterday I was able to finish 1/3 of the total wood-stacking = 3 tons by the house.

Which also means that I'm almost at the time for a lawn mowing; first of the season.

That's about it, take care all.
