Good evening all. Light wind, sky became mostly cloudy in afternoon, and high temp was 73ºF. Cleaned up front porch and worked on cleaning lady prep.

RS glad front, some east side, and compost/woodlot mowed. Fence is looking good. Hope not too much damage from wind.

Phil glad it's raining for you. Cute little guy. Sorry hose on leaf vac split. Hope shop provides the recuperation from chainsawing. Nice wood projects, like the door handle shims. Hope the injections worked.
Ron glad blade sharpener back together and tested good. Good luck with new mounting plate and pins for new JD seat. Good to hear Harvey recovering well. Nice leaf color pic!
Bill sorry joints not handling damp weather. Hope the new cable and audio splitter work out for you.
Drew hope day with friend went well. I keep hoping you can find the RV you want.
Drew blacksmith would use the large anvils. My university now has a blacksmith student chapter on campus.

off early this morning to local hospital for blood work, just routine, finding out what AIC is
before I see my endocrinologist end of this week. Sure hope it has stayed down.

Drinking hot cup of coffee this morning. 30° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 55° with plenty of sunshine. Got all the items that may freeze moved to cellar. Had a good afternoon watching NASCAR race in afternoon. Need to start doing some fall trimming of trees and shrubs today.

Gotta top off the furnace oil tank today. I could wait until it gets down lower, but why?

Listening to 'Hair' right now. Love the fact that I can listen to my library AND still listen to you tube videos too.

since it's so dry, guess I should blow some leaves out of front gardens today
I blow them into a pile in front lawn and then bring the mower over to suck them up.
Which then means a drive into the woods to dump the bags, which I'm hoping is now easier
since I cleaned out that area with lots of help. If dry, impossible to not get covered in dust dumping
leaf bags

I think I hear the cries of my roses freezing out there
still have a bunch ready to bloom

44 this morning and sorta wet. We got twice as much rain last night then we had for the whole month. .04" LOL. Lots more co,ing though. Sayin 3" by Thur. Supposed to clear up for Halloween and some what nice for the weekend/.
That's good thing as we are having an appreciation for bridge helpers and shooting party on Sat. Steaks on the grill and a whole lot of rounds will be spent. One of the participant's is a detective and wants to try out a couple of new firelegs.
Not too much yesterday. I got the oil change in the Artic Cat 4x2. Never seen such a complicated oil change in my life. Spent a pretty good chunk of time looking for the second oil pan bolt on it. Got one out right away and search for the other one. I've seen two oil pan plugs before. The tractor has 2. I kept bypassing the only other bolt on the bottom because it was twice as big as the first. Turns out it was the bigger one. 3 nut's and a bolt to get the filter out and almost 4 qts. of oil. My truck has one plug and spin on filter and 6 qts. Whoda thunk!!
Looked a little more for the start button problem but my heart wasn't in it. Maybe a little today.
I need to shuffle some stuff around today to empty out a bay for a couple of tables in case of rain. Not calling for any but Muphy's law is real.
But first...

42 heading to 62 and sun and clouds. 2 local weathermen as well as the NWS disagree on the rain this week, so we'll see. I saw a snow icon on the NWS forecast for our mountains Wednesday, when I am supposed to go...could be fun, but probably be mixed with rain.

Yesterday ran into 2 old friends while hiking with Della...good chat.

Good morning TBN. Nice to be back from camp, showered and with a stronger connection than one bar.. We had a great time there with below freezing temps each night and 50's during that day. Ate well, cleaned the camp and some trail in was cleared.

Plans for today...AM town for octan,lawn shop mixing oil,HD least 20' telescope pole and 12" brush to screw on the end,critter food,PM clean culvert small sticks leaves,start work on punch list getting this and that done before snowflakes start dancing in the air.
