83 in Washington NC.
had a very nice lunch overlooking the Intracoastal at Dowery Creek Marina restaurant.
had crab tacos made of fresh local crab, just delicious
two crab lunches, two filled to the rim glasses of wine and under 50 bucks. country pricing

no plans for rest of day
will walk around later when sun goes down
made reservations for trip home, one night at Cashie campground NW of here, and one night at Delaware Shores state campground on way home. My friends who live in Milton DE will come over and take me home to see their new rv and then off to dinner.

bummer, my portable fridge froze some apples
reset temp to 40 but damage done

Thomas that rain needs to stop by my area on the way home but I promise to send it on up to you.

then got to this campground and it went South.
guy still in my site, older couple, huge fifth wheel trailer, I walked up and told them nicely they were half an hour late, and i'm waiting to get in. They honestly seemed clueless, seemed to wander around a lot. I guess this is what aging out of fifth wheels is like.
The guy seemed puzzled as to why I was there. First time I've ever had that happen.
They finally left at 1:30pm after I waited more than half an hour. Technically check in isn't til 3 but most places ignore that if the prior folks have left.

Confused, if they left at 1:30 PM, and check in isn't until 3 PM, how were the previous couple late leaving?

Took a train ride this morning at Rock Hill Furnace.

Then took a tour of their Machine shops. Old DC Lincoln Welders, and a radial drill. Of course everything was belt driven. Super cool. Could have spent hours in there.

Wished I had known, I could have met you there.... You don't ride a motorcycle do you?

Thanks engineer42 I know very little about attractions in Pa. Our local steam engine the 611 is running trips north of Roanoke Va. been on her a couple of times very much fun was had

611 is running Goshen to Staunton and back, we did it 2 yrs ago. We talked about riding EBT friday or saturday, we rode it last year.

Good day for outside leave control and my back pockets starting to drag.

Mama and her cubs spent most of the day here snoozing eating apple acorn.
Plans rest of the day...after dinner feet up on the deck enjoy smooth cigar wait for the critters and stars.
