The Good Lord blessed us with some wonderful weather to do our fall bush hogging of the fields

Something about cutting hay/grass in autumn on sunny day with slight breeze smells good also makes everything all right.

It will be interesting to see how David's new flail mower works on his seriously heavy duty "jungle" grass.
hopefully it will pulverize it slowly but surely
first pass might be slow, then keep speeding up until it no longer cuts nicely.
different kind of mowing noise too I'd expect.
May the LS cooperate and beat back the jungle.

not a jungle, but an oasis, one year ago in New Mexico seeing Ted and Dona.
an oasis in the desert. By now his plants must be amazing, had lots being grown behind his house
for his next stage. Am sure he's been distracted recently, but sometimes that's good.

Clearing out a fire break before the yards at FireWise this morning. We were in rattlesnake territory 4 had been spotted this week and one person was bit, but none this morning

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.4C and it's presently 12.6C, cloudy with a breeze. There was 10.3mm in the gauge @0730.

I survived assembling both the new computer monitor and the TV sound bar yesterday arvo with no 'objects' thrown in frustration. (A few 'discouraging' words were mentioned, though)

ALL 'extra' parts accounted for but one hiccup encountered, which was related to "Today's Technology". The new monitor came with a new type of video cable that was incompatible with my computer. What I required was an 'hdmi-to-hdmi'. I almost got changed to go into town to look for one when I remembered that I'm somewhat of a cable pack-rat... sure enough, it turned out that I had TWO of them hiding in the house.

Today, of course, is 'into town' day for petrol and groceries. But first is a Veteran Coffee gathering at 1000. This arvo will be a trip to the tip to dispose/recycle the old monitor & sound system + cardboard.
