Highlight of yesterday was Sophie and I gave each other haircuts.

Off to Hilo town this morning. Neighbor Mike has generously offered his truck to pick up a piece of freight too tall for my Tundra with cap.

Back from North Bay and nothing going on. Except for the bridge construction zone (50 mph) the rest of the trip on the highway was a steady 70 mph. Thank G-d for cruise control.

I had lost one of the nuts on the BB for the 3 point and scored one of them on the way to the Bay. $2.oo.
Blue loctite 1.14 oz is worth $41.oo Got a bottle of that, too.
Nuts wont come off again.
Gonna try one more time to load that cold start video.

good afternoon, 78 the high for today with cloudy conditions

Made it back from wife's appointments in the big city. Youngest daughter was driving which was nice and plenty of time to talk on the way. She changed rehab jobs and getting certifications to get more money.

Got the update on GD doing well at college. She is looking for jobs on the side to help pay expenses. Saturday she is going to the Cinderella ball at Johns Hopkins for adolescent patients. She is looking forward to talking and helping others deal with being ill and sharing her experiences during the long road to recovery

got yard all mowed up again. getting the larger than softball mushrooms growing.
lots and lots of black walnuts, hit a lot of them.
tried a quick wash of the front of the camper, as high as i could reach from the ground. Waiting for the wife's comments when she sees it.... A definite difference.
water tank behind house is overflowing again, got 3 bucket full out of it.
leaves staining the new deck, blew them off.

Only deer and a cat down along my creek last week.

Almost forgot, lucky me, I got selected for Jury duty. Should I wear my "Hang em High" shirt??

I got a 2026 Jury Questionnaire letter last month...everything done on line, so may need to borrow your shirt. Actually, now that I'm retired, would be glad to serve...never been called before except to serve on the grand jury...that was eye-opening.

I've been called several times. seems like less than a year ago, but got dismissed for the week the last time.
Hope i'm on the case for the guy that ran the red light and killed my friend.... but that won't be in court yet.

Cut up all the old deck boards this morning and got the gas valve replaced this afternoon. Managed to squeeze in a boat ride on the lake with Kathleen

Tomorrow maybe some tractor time bush hogging the field

Nice sky sitting on the deck with my lovely wife having a glass of Sauvignon Blanc
