I love the sound of geese flying overhead, squawking away

Their main call, made by both males and females, is a nasal, one-syllable honk given at any hour of the day or night, at any time of year, in the air or on the ground. Distant calling flocks are reminiscent of a pack of baying hounds. Birds less than a year old have a clearer and higher-pitched whistle.

Good morning, the low is 49 and going up to 72°F. Wind WNW 5 mph. Sunny!

Ribs are in the marinade. Honey garlic for him and a sweet Thai chilly/Sriracha hot sauce mixture for me. He boiled the fat off them first.

The one thing left to do is the tarp for over the toy garage. Amazon was supposed to deliver on the 11th, then they said the 25th, I wonder what their lame excuse will be this time.

Looks like the hurricane won't beat up on the Carolinas. Weather heads are saying coming near the coast then take a sharp turn to the NW. GOOD.
Slow day after I carried stuff out to the lean too. Then just puttered till dinner time. I should turn my attention back to my buggy wiring harness.

Time for a second cup.

68° on its way to 80. Fog is burning off, going to be a sunny, dry day.

Friday afternoon, oldest son and I took down a dead Pin Oak and cut it up yesterday.

Here it is in its reduced form,waiting to be split.

Grandson helped clean up all the brush

I gave him a retired P51 model as a prize.

Had this 1.20 cu in engine that sat so long that the castor oil had gummed up and seized it, even the valves were stuck.
I put it in a glass measuring cup filled with fuel, and set the ultrasonic cleaner set to 180° filled with distilled water. The glass is transparent to the ultrasonic waves, so it worked great. A few hours later the engine was free. I adjusted the valve clearance and spun it up in lathe.

Maybe I’ll start it up today, I’m not sure what I am going to into yet.

On the drive yesterday the drag strip up the street the parking lot was full of big truck and motorhome rigs with race cars for todays race. Lots of money

My grandmother always loved pin oaks so we’ve always planted them. When we moved here in 2006 there were none. Could not find any so planted willow oak instead.

Morning all, 71 going to 84 and sunny.
Got all the pool furniture etc. put away since I found out it was going to rain last night.
Will close pool during the week, tired of leaf cleaning daily.

Took dog for usual walk the out to dinner, son is somewhere around and going to help me get pool cover over to pool when he wakes up.

Nice haul of findings Mostly, I would usually find sharp stuff with my tires and rubber pieces flying up as I rode along.

Popgadget, nice revival of that engine.

Scott, can't take bufferin along with celebrex, only tylenol and that only works so so
and leaves me feeling dull. No magic pills, at least none that leave you coherent....

got my car washed, worked hard on that, and now some rest before I start making trips to rv.
turned the fridge on and put some icetrays in freezer

have a concern over a rear leveling ram. Not the one I replaced.
seems to be at some kind of angle.
I can't crawl under there but tried to take a pic
doesn't seem to be any useful reason that ram should not be straight up and down.
at least the bottom plate swivels to adapt.
need to make sure mount attachment bolts are tight

good thing I'm carry a rebuilt spare ram.

when visiting friends yesterday her Chinese something was blooming, very pretty but dropped squishy
stuff all over walk. Reminds me of smaller prettier gingkos.
