Good morning, the low is 58 and going up to 72°F Wind E 6 mph. 30% chance of showers.

About noon I will go out and spread the gravel for the neighbour.
That is all that is on my plate for today.

71 outside right now, mid 70's expected for the rest of the day. Raining here since early AM. Actual puddles have formed.

Camping trip went really well. Unfortunate clouds and mist obstructed the views. The wife and I did about six miles a day on the trails. So that was good.

Lots of clean up around the house the next few days. Seems all the walnuts decided to drop while we were away. Them's ankle twisters for sure.

Real jobs are pretty stacked up, so I will be on travel and not posting daily for a long while.

Homeowners insurance refund was excessive. My insurance company has a discount if paid in full. The bank, pays them in full once a year. But, they collect escrow for the full policy amount and ignore the discounted rate. Effectively sitting on a wad of cash for the year. I attempted to communicate with the bank and got no where. Will have to see if we can do anything to get them to see it our way. If not, I'll pay insurance myself.

Went to cut a small dead ash that was leaning towards the shared road.
It had another smaller dead ash in the way, so both cut.
They are now leaning parallel to the road, in the woods a bit, so fine with me.

Finally got .65" of rain last night with more coming. 66 this morning with high in the upper 80s and more humidity.

Finally getting the garage back to it's normal mess. Will do some more cleanup done and start eliminating the little piles of unclassified stuff. Then I can get back to my usual projects and to do list.
Sitting in the garage I was contemplating what to do next and up from the river came a bear! I know it's not a big deal for some of you but I was quite excited to see it Walked right by the open garage with plenty of noise coming out of it.
Got the parts for my 4x4 that was having problems switching from 2 to 4x and put them in. Success!
Not sure what is on the agenda except for burning....finally!

Time for a second cup.

mostly, don't know how you do it. Nice to read the recap, after BBQ and a bike ride.

.1" rain so far today. supposed to meet our new preacher for lunch today, help him move some things into the office. He lives sort of local, so is not moving, just moving congregations. Starts here in a couple weeks. This the guy who I knew his dad years ago in Ohio, his dad around my age.

So I missed getting a picture of the man riding a rocket as you enter Bowman ND (didn't know it was a thing), but did get a poor pic of the stuff right after it, like an airplane on a pole, old bridge, etc, will include a google screenshot.

We seen enough bears the 1st few years we lived in the UP to last a lifetime. Would pay someone to shoot deer in the yard... Far to many are summering in town.

BEF, more pix! I like that Eufy cellular cam...had not seen those. I use one of their Wifi and solar powered cams and it works great. For a trail cam, my son gave me a Tactacam...$5/mo for basic cell coverage, and it auto switches to the best available cell signal...instant notification...I use their phone app and their web access from my PC...both are pretty slick for remotely managing the cam settings and indexing photos.

Yesterday was a hike and swim day, and then mowed a couple of areas I skipped last time until I was afraid I would run out of diesel...need to make a run to fill my 5 gallon jug and roast today. Yesterday nearly stepped on a copperhead again...second time in a week.

I want to try the tactacam, almost bought one a few weeks ago. THeir data plans on par with spypoint, but they do have their new cams that you can instantly request a picture, like I can with my reconyx. I think it's the reveal x3 that allows instant photo request, not all of theirs do. can get a 2 pack for around $200, just a little more than spypoints.

tactacam also has a defend security camera, cellular and batteries, more geared to what Buppies is looking for, 4K photos.

lead local spine surgeon reviewed all my scans, said my back was so bad
he did not recommend surgery, would take a foot of titanium rods and likelihood of a bad
outcome was high. Lovely. So he is getting me his personal pain doc to give me an injection in my hip,
which I hope will help with walking, then lower back.
oh well

looks like the glue factory is the next stop
