I think moose and caribou would be cool to have around as long as you
could keep them off the roads. Friendly vegans.
of course if I look out my window and see a moose coming out of the woods,
not going to be petting that either.

Have to be careful I don't shoot black walnuts and Hickory nuts at anything, they get in the grass and some are hard to see.

Heard a little rumble, thought "was that thunder"? nah...
looked at radar and there is a little storm just to the west, tracking NE, so will miss us. Bigger rains further west in the mountains, so M7040 will be getting wet.

Got registration renewal for the pilot, now $200 yr....

60F cloudy,finally got very very rain more like light lite shower just enough settle dust.
Good day at work,good afternoon so far shop vac clean new filter tools etc. for Mrs. wood furnace ready for good cleaning just need to order spare drive belt.

Looks like most holes have standing water.

Tried 6” auger on the problematic ones … almost worked too well … drilled right in. Almost got it stuck several times but managed to free it.

Swapped 12” auger back on after that and gave it a whirl. Think I’m still hitting rocks, will see if I can get those loosened up in the coming days.

Got last t post pulled.

Laid out 3,4,5 string line and got the vector for the south fence line.

Water Buffalo refilled.

Clouds have mostly cleared out, just sitting out back enjoying the nice evening weather.

Hot and dry. 97˚F heat index of 105˚. Was out watering the yard, it is turning brown. We do have a cool front blowing in tomorrow and a chance for a little rain. Hopefully it will stay cool over the weekend ( and by cool I mean upper 80s).

Good Evening
Nice most of the day, a passing rain shower earlier, another on the way.
Day started with breakfast with the professor, then pick up my friend and off to another gathering of old guys at the RC field.
We went to lunch afterwards, I had a great time, weather permitting, going back tomorrow morning as well.

Wasn’t a great day for everyone though-

Here is my solution to the miserable soil here for post holes.
Rock augers and a hydraulic auger that lets me use the down pressure from the loader.

I took these in Omaha before they got moved. I had taken people out there to make a sales call to UP.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 8.1C and it's presently 18.4C, mostly sunny with gusting wind.

Good run to the tip yesterday and, seeing as I was 'dressed' for working, I tackled a few jobs around the property.

Today is 'into town' day; first stop at the PO followed by groceries.

That's about it, take care all.
