fun researching some of Buckeye's photos, did you know the Longaberger company had a Billion dollars in sales in 2000?
that's a lot of baskets. Owner died and company died years later.

I think visiting all 88 of those barns would be a great quest.

We have a few Longaberger baskets. They were not cheap, but very well made.

I have a contest on my Ohio Picture site to display all of the Bicentennial barns. Several have been submitted. Some are gone. Here is the complete set:

Coshocton county bicentennial barn. I drove by this, turned around to get a picture.

The guy that painted these, and many other barns goes by the name of TheBarnArtist, he has painted barns in multiple states also, and is trying to paint at least one in every state. He lives near where i grew up. I've been by one of his in TN, along I40. He also paints a lot of school gymnasiums.

Good (Friday) morning. Overnight Low of 9.1C and it's presently 15.8C, mostly cloudy & calm with sporadic showers. There was 0.7mm in the gauge @0800.

I'll head 'into town' in a while to see/support that parishioner who initially asked me to accompany her (singing-wise). She decided not to go ahead with that. Anyway, there's a display happening in the Town Hall... I'll end the excursion with a quick trip back to the hardware store for a few more items which will most likely be more than A$48.

Good evening all. 67ºF for the start, mostly clear sky, very light breeze. Light west wind, partly cloudy sky, Afternoon build ups, and high temp was 94ºF, HI 97ºF. made coffee to start day, office work, bike ride, lunch, nap, bike shop run, dinner, fish club meeting.

Scott(vt) Sorry weather warmer than normal, Same here 6 days above normal in 10 day and that is the coolest it's been for several weeks. Hope work went well. Hope you get to use the hot tub. Good to hear you are doing well on practice exams.
Drew hope CT scan went well and Dr can see what they need to.Glad good dinner.
Happy(NC) hope you make progress on shop, and you get to the end you envisioned.
Billy glad you were able to do some walking and paperwork got done.

Interesting do not know where yesterday went got up and left I guess. High temperature was 84 low of 56 .16 inches of rain. We are under abnormally dry conditions

Coffee is cooling in cup. 59° with partly cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 80° with partly cloudy skies. Grocery shopping went good. After putting stuff away. Got back at pressure washing house and garage. Finished garage and got most of house done. Still have west end of house where hornets nest is. Today have a pickup at Menards. Then wash windows in house. Hope to get back field grass cut when dry. Should not take long. Only a few green spots there.
Thought all the Frogs had left garden pond. But they are back this week.

Ct, 58 to start going to 79. Cooler and dryer weather is moving in.

Ron, those frogs won’t be there long When I was redoing the porch deck in Vermont I almost stepped on a toad ponder the deck joists, he went his way and me mine He keeps the bug population down

Plans for today are more studying and maybe fit in some radio time. For all of you guys that thought I had forgotten about my sculptured rocking chair project, I have not, I just have had no quality time to invest in that project. The last time I looked I was duplicating the shapes of the 14 back spindles on the 2 rockers with a flush trim bit and the rocker back side profile pattern. Anyways, since my grand daughters are only going to be 4 in early October, it’s not imperative to get them done right away At least that’s what I tell myself

Dennis, we have one tri centennial farm not far from here. It’s sad that the whole area housing and population wise , have grown around this farm. In fact they sold off maybe 40 or 50 acres and that is now condos . One of the reasons I live Vermont, things rarely change where I am up there!
Yes Drew, I just used an exclamation point, it’s tough to see developments where there was once corn or hay fields JMO.

Its about 55 here now and today's high is predicted to be 61.

Mowed the lawn again for the billionth time this summer. Is it the last time? Do love that battery powered Ego mower which makes the job much more pleasant.

Got some wiring done to the snow implement yesterday. Went back and forth with the owner of the property we are purchasing. Hope to move it along quickly and we will be preparing it for winter use.

I did take a few fall photos walking mutts late yesterday and I'm try get through them and post, if any good. Colors are near max here which is Houghton MI. High country must be there now.

am going to dinner at brother's home tonight to celebrate nephew's 14 year old son's birthday.
I got him a good quality IR thermometer, that goes up to 2700 degrees, so he can do car diagnostics with it.
Or electrical, or... actually his grandmother has a kiln but not sure how you measure inside of that...
the boy likes tools and this is one I know he doesn't have. Need to lecture him about eye safety and being careful where he points
it. Our family has a tradition where you get clues to try to guess what's inside, and his clue will be

going to take a long hot shower to relax my back.
lawn needs mowing but think I'll give it another day
we got .25 rain yesterday and that woke it up again.

am hoping I can log online and get radiology report from yesterday later today.
hoping to eliminate red herrings and get on with back repair

I picked a small ripe sweet red pepper yesterday, brought it in and washed it, and
decided it looked pretty good. Very crunchy, sweet, juicy and now just a memory.
