59 outside right now, heading to upper 80's. Need to get to the morning routine. The animals all huddle by their feed bowls come breakfast or dinner time. But, they don't wait around and if the tasks don't get done I am chasing them down into the fields. That ends up being a good brisk walk as I don't use equipment for those tasks.

Yesterday I managed to get the Hot Tub all operational. A nice win to start the day. Dug into my lumber shed for some trellis for a privacy screen around the Hot Tub. Wife nixed that idea, so I told her to get a design she wants and I'll build it out. Also got the log splitter back out and started splitting wood again. A lot more of that today is expected.

Air compressor needs a new air hose. Small leak in it. Cracks right at the hookup. Cheap hose from overseas. Had to use it for the log splitter and ZTR. Both of which just have real s l o w leaks in their tires.

Good morning TBN folks. 60 here now with a solid fog and a predicted high of 68 today. Yesterday we traveled down to Covington and looked at a property again. I think we'll make them a offer. Here is some fall color photos

I highly recommend Flexeel polyurethane air hose and the reusable fittings. Not the cheapest, but the best by a mile.

Morning all, 66 going up to 83 and sunny.
Yesterday off to a flea market, then to pick up apples and pears.
Home to rest and then took dog out for a walk, they have a scarecrow contest at peddlars so it was crowded.

Today anniversary dinner is all we have planned.

Drew - seems we missed you at the orchard, we were there pretty late though after time at Rices.

Still tired from being sick earlier in the week, but certainly feeling better.

Did get some watering done yesterday morning, need to finish today.
Lots more figs ready to dehydrate and might put in some apple slices too.

They are devastated. He went off to college, and was dead two weeks later. It’s about impossible to comprehend.

Totally horrible situation, can't imagine it and have few words. Condolences.

Son and I put up 9 songbird homes yesterday.

Good morning, the low is 54 and going to a high of 68°F. Wind NE 6 mph. Sunny!

Now that the new roof is on the tractor shed, I can dispense with the soup can over the exhaust. I'll put it away today, maybe. Maybe wait until after the salt is delivered on Wednesday. I have to move the salt with the tractor anyway.

Nothing planned for today.

Bill, soup can will keep the spiders and small critters out, I'd leave it on. Plus cuts down humid air going down
into engine. Can hardly beat a Campbell's tomato soup can but perhaps you have a favorite Canadian brand.

nice drive down and back to Haddonfield NJ
pretty area but very surprised the main road through there is terrible,
long overdue for a repave and you get bounced around. Nice tree lined streets.

Took 95 down, by mistake, 295 home, much better. At least the bridge said no toll
going to NJ. Charge you coming into PA but not vice versa. Same thing in my own home town
at the local toll bridge over the Delaware River. This is just further down the River.
The Delaware River Joint Bridge Commission is quite a local power, not sure who makes the toll decisions.

think I'll go push the electric mower for awhile after lunch to get some exercise.

a YT video popped up of some guy complaining that his local Walmart just stopped stocking
anything but shotgun shells.
I'm guess the majority of folks reading this own a gun. So you need ammunition for it.
This is sure not a gun control discussion, that would blow up here, but rather where can you buy
ammunition for your own legal purposes. Walmart has said they have restricted ammunition sales in about
half of their stores. Am curious if the one near you has cut back.

many Walmarts then make an exception for hunting rifles.
the sad reality is what was just used against Charlie Kirk was a normal high quality hunting rifle.
It was allowed.
Walmart has stopped selling .223 and 5.56 altogether; definitely an anti "military" stance.
I bet they have been sued a lot for consequential damages since they sold the ammo or rifle.
It gets thrown out usually but still a lot of cost to company and bad PR.

I remember when the local hardware store sold ammo, a long time ago.
they didn't have sporting goods places back when. Just local gun shops.
I can visually remember the stack of .22 boxes up on the hardware store shelf, behind the counter.

Lots of online commerce offering ammo.
everyone needs at least one .50 BMG
likely one of those rounds Walmart is saying no no no to.

About only thing of import yesterday wad getting some new shelves built in tractorshed. That area in need of reorganization.
