have a ten percent off grocery coupon burning a hole in my pocket, and time to head downtown.
By time I'm home will be warmed up and a nice day to be outside.

gave the birds a serious treat this morning. Got a multipound bag of mealy worms in.
lot more worms than I thought...big bag. Thankfully sterilized I guess so they don't smell.
so I sprinkled a little in each feeder and some on the ground.
I think the doves will be interested and likely the blue jays
and for sure the squirrels.

I haven't seen a squirrel in three days. Very strange.
I hope a hawk or owl moved in...

Good Morning to All who Celebrate! Currently 61° heading to a high of 83°. Sunny and clear for the foreseeable future.

Whirlwind of a work week this week. I'm so ready for the vacation next Friday. Will be nice to sit in an airplane and do nothing for 24hours straight. Picked up a larger checked bag at Walmart the other day, pleased to report that the entire department store my girlfriend wanted me to bring will fit now.

Parents, nephew, sister and brother in law all shove off for the beach this coming week. They'll be getting back as I'll be on the other side of the globe for the week. I think I'll manage to do a Monday good morning post, but I'll probably be unable to Friday. Don't worry, I'll take pictures for y'all.

No tractoring work this week, basically putting a hold on everything until vacation is behind me and then we can get into the meat of fall.

Y'all stay safe out there and be well!
Prayers for all ailing and recovering!

when food is over five dollars a pound, I start questioning its value.
particularly when it all winds up in the toilet bowl ;)
I guess that makes me cheap
so my ten percent off coupon lets me splurge on my favorite cranberry walnut chicken salad
so that it only costs 9 bucks a pound instead of ten.
always think I should make my own. The place that does the chicken broiling there always has leftover/discounted
bulk pulled chicken for under 4 dollars a pound. Would probably be healthier too, make sure there's no palm oil or similar in there.
and I have celery. maybe I'll check out the cranberries this morning.
little vitamin C in my sandwich

I made an exception for fish because salmon is so expensive. Still is.
I also wait for sales on frozen uncooked shrimp; that's fun to cook with.
excuse for more garlic, shrimp scampi or curried shrimp are favorites

some of the less expensive farm raised fish from Asia is questionable,
could be scare mongering, but who knows what the fish get fed.

when you have to cook for yourself, as a few of us do,
not much chance for a surprise for dinner.

safe travels FWT

Called Culligan, got told the driver had an emergency with water all over the place. Funny, when I worked for Culligan out of Mississauga I had to complete all my assigned deliveries regardless of how long t took me. I asked if there was 4' of snow on the highway between Barrie and here and the highway was closed. The dispatcher didn't like that. Tough tittie said the cat to the kittie. Now they are saying next Wednesday.

Morning all, 55 going to 81 and sunny.
Got out and mowed the lawn and cleaned leaves out of the pool.
Battery cooked on the weed trimmer, called Milwaukee, 2 months left on warranty, new battery on the way!
Bought a new forge version to tide me over, these are supposed to have a smoother power delivery right until they run out.

More dehydrated figs and mandarins.

One batch of paperwork done, new tenant in rental apartment.
One batch in for PA tax refund, I put the paperwork in, they have/take 8-10 weeks to respond. Always ask for the same thing, even though they have it, well now they have it again 🙃 Should get another $400 back.

Back to the day job, still need to split some wood.

Be well,

Good Morning
63° now day started at 51 on its way to almost 80 under a clear sky.

Yesterday started with breakfast with the professor, followed by RC with the old guys, then lunch with the pumpkin farmer neighbor. He said the deer have done colossal damage to this year’s crop.
After that it was into the shop, to do some tinkering and make some more tooling for the Di-Acro bender.

This was an interesting piece, it’s an eccentric clamp.

It gets tightened with a wrench to squeeze and clamp the material to the die. The forming roller above it was another project.

Nothing scheduled for this morning, I’ve got to go back to Martha’s Vineyard again. Might have to do it twice next week as well. I guess I can’t complain about working a couple of days in the same week, especially if it’s not really work….

Looks like music this evening, so the day will be pretty full, even if I don’t make any sparks or metal chips.
